Spoiler: I really like VIVAIA boots after wearing the brand for a full winter season last year. This review is backed by our 100 hours guarantee. I share details on sizing and fit of the 5 pairs I own below.

After I shared my unsponsored VIVAIA shoes review, VIVAIA reached out and offered a discount code. You can use “ELISABETH10” for 10% off.

Instagram made me do it

If you’ve spent any time scrolling through your social media feed, chances are you’ve seen the sleek, eco-friendly ads for VIVAIA shoes. The viral shoe brand, known for its sustainability efforts and fashionable designs, has become a staple in many people’s wardrobes — including mine. After wearing VIVAIA boots for over a year, I’m sharing my honest thoughts on whether they live up to the hype.

In this review, I’ll cover everything from my personal shopping experience to how the boots have held up over time, the sizing and fit, and what I love (and don’t love) about them. Let’s dive in!

What I Love About VIVAIA Boots

VIVAIA is a relatively new shoe brand, founded in 2020, that makes sustainability its central mission. The company recycles plastic bottles and other materials to craft stylish, eco-friendly footwear. But for me, sustainability is just one part of the equation. As much as I want to support brands that care about the environment, the shoes need to be comfortable and high-quality if they’re going to make it into my wardrobe.

I’m happy to report that VIVAIA has delivered on both fronts. Not only do these boots look fantastic, but they’re also comfortable enough to wear all day. For me, the true test of sustainability is whether a piece of clothing or footwear is well-made enough to last for years — that way, you can wear it repeatedly without it ending up in a landfill.

Styles of VIVAIA Boots I Tried

Over the past year, I’ve tried several pairs of VIVAIA boots (if you want my review on their flats + heels, I have a full post on that). Here’s a breakdown of what I’ve loved (and what I’m not as fond of):

  • Ryan Slip On Chelsea Boots: These are the Kidziks of books. I was skeptical you could really step into these hands-free but there is something magical about the reinforced back. You can slide these on while holding a toddler and they’re fantastic for on the go.
  • Square Toe Regina Pro: These are my #1 pick. They’re comfortable enough for all day wear and beautiful. I wear these with dresses and they’re my go-to with full length denim when I need a few extra inches.
  • Eduarda Chunky Sock Boots: I was hesitant about these but they are so fun! I definitely get the least wear out of this pair but they’re fun with skirts and a great warm layer under wider pants.
  • Abby Boots: These tall boots are beautiful and a great pair to wear with dresses and skirts all winter long. The black woven is durable and hides dirt. I love that these can go under a dress or over a pair of leggings or denim (pull out those skinny jeans).
  • Water-Repellant Chelsea Tan boots: These are a cute pair of daily wear boots. I gravitate toward my dark brown Ryan Slip ons more..but these are giving cute lumberjack in the best way.

First Impressions: How Do VIVAIA Shoes Look?

If you’ve been wondering how VIVAIA shoes look in person — I can tell you they do not disappoint. These shoes are absolutely gorgeous. The colors are vibrant, and the construction looks solid. In fact, these shoes look even better in person than in the ads! The first time I put them on, I was impressed by how sleek and stylish they looked, and I was excited to wear them out. The designs are modern and elegant, and I genuinely enjoy wearing them just as much as I enjoy looking at them.

VIVAIA Shoe Sizing: My Experience with Fit

When it comes to sizing, I ordered my usual size 7 in all styles. Typically, I wear a size 6.5 to 7, especially in higher-end brands that tend to run small. VIVAIA shoes are marked with European sizing (mine came as size 37.5), and in my experience, they ran true to size.

I have wide feet, which can sometimes be a challenge when buying shoes online, but I didn’t have any issues with fit. The shoes feel comfortable right from the start, and the materials mold to the shape of my feet over time, making them even more comfortable as I continue to wear them.

A few pairs of VIVAIA flats took some time to break in but I haven’t run into that issue with any of the boots.

Are VIVAIA Boots Comfortable? Can You Wear Them All Day?

The answer is yes! I can absolutely wear my VIVAIA boots all day. The comfort level of these shoes is one of the standout features for me. Their flat boots are particularly great for casual wear, while the block-heeled boots provide that extra bit of height without compromising comfort.

Even after a long day, I don’t find myself needing to take them off right away, which says a lot about their all-day wearability.

Will I Order from VIVAIA Again?

Absolutely. After a year of wearing my VIVAIA boots and other shoes, I can confidently say that I’ll be shopping from them again. The boots and shoes are stylish and comfortable.

As an added bonus, VIVAIA reached out after reading this post and offered a discount code for my readers. You can use “elisabeth10” for 10% off your next order! If you only order one pair of boots, my top pick are these square toe brown booties you can wear with all the wide leg denim this winter.

Frequently Asked Questions

Are VIVAIA shoes true to size?

Yes, they generally run true to size. I’ve had no issues with sizing, even with my wider feet.

es! VIVAIA shoes can withstand gentle machine washing. Just be sure to remove any removable insoles and use a laundry bag for protection. So far I’ve only had to spot clean mine and I just use a white cloth and water.
