The Best Jewelry for Gifting in 2026: 35 Picks From $12 to $5,000

If you’re shopping for a woman in your life, I made this list for you. I love jewelry, and I handpicked every piece here, from a $12 pair of studs to a $4,850 pendant, so you can find the best jewelry for gifting at whatever budget you’re working with.
I love giving jewelry as a girlfriend gift at favorite things parties, and some of the most meaningful gifts I’ve ever received from my husband have been jewelry. For our first wedding anniversary, he planned a scavenger hunt that took me biking through our college town and ended under a tree with a picnic and a necklace. This Valentine’s Day, it was a pair of diamond studs from Quince, and you’ll find Quince’s studs further down this list.
Jewelry is a personal, intimate gift, since it’s something she wears right on her skin. It can be a really special piece she saves for an occasion, or a classic she reaches for every day and maybe never takes off. Whatever your budget, it’s a beautiful way to be thoughtful.
Whatever you choose, tuck a note in the box. Tell her why you picked it, or that you saw this beautiful thing and it made you think of her. It takes two minutes, and it’s what makes a pretty piece feel like it was chosen just for her.
A handful of these I own and wear, and the rest came off my own Pinterest wish list or out of a lot of research, so every card tells you which is which. This post contains affiliate links, which means I may earn a small commission if you buy through them, at no extra cost to you. Hey June sent me the Fall Vibes necklace, and I’ve been spending my own money there for the last decade.

How to Buy Jewelry for Someone Else
The safest way to buy jewelry for someone else is to match what she already wears. Before you shop, look at what’s on her at dinner this week: gold or silver, tiny studs or something that makes more of a statement.
My rule for any gift is that it should make her feel loved and supported, not improved. With jewelry that leaves two good paths. You can upgrade something she wears every day, which is the safer bet, or you can find the new thing she doesn’t know she wants.
Skip rings. I left them off this list on purpose. Unless you are going together to pick it out or you alerady know her size. If you’re really committed to a ring, you can just budget to get it resized after you’ve gifted it and she decides what finger she wants it on.
Know what you’re paying for. Solid gold is gold all the way through. Gold-filled has a thick layer of gold bonded to a base metal and holds up for years. Vermeil is gold over sterling silver, and gold-plated is the thinnest layer, so it’s the first to wear off.
Know how she treats her jewelry. My Hey June Kya necklace started to tarnish after a couple of months because I fiddled with it all day and the oils from my hands got to it, while the huggies I never touched still looked brand new after months of wear. If she’s a fiddler, buy earrings or higher quality pieces.
Check the return policy. Nordstrom has free returns and Quince gives you 365 days. Etsy varies by shop, and a few pieces below are the kind you can’t easily send back, so I’ll flag those on the card.
For the Woman Who Wears the Same Earrings Every Day

Earrings are the easiest jewelry gift because there’s no size to guess. If she’s an everyday-hoop person, stay close to what she already wears and buy a nicer or more interesting version of it. Code ELISABETH takes 15% off at Hey June if you want to use it, and everything there ships in a gold foil stamped box that’s ready to give.

Hey June Twisted Studs ($12)
Best for: a stocking or a small sister gift
I own these and they’re such a fun statement for a stud, sort of a soft gold swirl instead of the usual ball or hoop. They’re down to $12 from $24 right now, which makes them the least expensive thing on this list.

Hey June Hoop of the Month ($25 a month)
Best for: someone who loves a surprise in the mail
I’ve been a subscriber, and this is the one gift here that keeps showing up. You pay $25 a month and a surprise pair of hoops arrives, the same pair for everyone in the club, with free shipping. There are separate gold and silver subscriptions, so you can pick her metal, and November’s is the Autumn Gradient Huggie. It’s put me in styles I never would have picked off a product page, and most are now in my regular rotation. A few have been too fun for me (I lean classic), and those I’ve saved as gifts.

Quince Globe Boho Hoops ($68)
Best for: one bold pair she can wear with everything
These are the most-reviewed Quince earrings I found, with 4.8 stars from 1,480 reviews. They’re chunky, polished domes in 18K gold vermeil, and they also come in sterling silver if that’s her metal. I’m going on the reviews here since I haven’t worn this pair, but Quince gives you 365 days to change your mind.

Quince 14K Gold Pearl Drop Earrings ($168)
Best for: the woman who wants pearls that don’t feel formal
I own these and love them. Two AAA freshwater pearls, a 5mm and an 8mm, stack in a short 16mm drop on 14K gold, with 4.9 stars from 140 reviews. They’re a more modern take on a pearl stud, and at $168 they cost about a fifth of the Mikimoto pair below. Quince gives you 365 days to return them.

Quince 14K Gold Lab Grown Diamond Studs, 1 ctw ($498)
Best for: the woman who has wanted diamond studs for years and won’t buy them herself
My husband bought me a pair of Quince diamond studs for Valentine’s Day this year. This pair has two IGI-certified lab grown diamonds, 1 carat total weight, in solid 14K yellow or white gold, with 4.9 stars from 285 reviews. Quince’s lab grown studs are on my Quince dupes list for a reason: it’s the same stone as a mined diamond, grown in a lab. The one thing to check is how she feels about lab grown, so ask her sister first.

Mikimoto Akoya Pearl Stud Earrings ($820)
Best for: a first real piece of fine jewelry
Mikimoto is the name in pearls, and this is the smallest way into it: 7 to 7.5mm Akoya pearls on 18K gold posts, with 5 stars from 13 reviews at Nordstrom. Pearl studs kept coming up in threads about what women actually wear regularly. I haven’t owned these, but it’s the kind of pair she’d have for decades.
The Same Beaded Necklace at Every Budget
Big, earthy, grown-up beads are the jewelry look I keep seeing this fall, and they’re all over my own Pinterest wish list. Marie Claire and Who What Wear have both been pushing chunky beaded necklaces this year. Here’s the same idea at a few prices, starting with the one I actually wear.

⭐ Favorite Overall: Hey June Fall Vibes Beaded Necklace ($34)
Best for: almost anyone, which is why it’s my favorite overall
This one is on my most worn list for 2026. It adds a pop of color to anything plain, which is most of what I wear, it hasn’t tarnished, and it sparks joy every time I put it on. It’s a look-alike for a $60 Anthropologie version, but I like the colors on the Hey June one better. The earth-tone beads are 8.5mm on 18K gold filled, 17 inches with a 2-inch extender. Hey June sent me this one.

Ana Luisa Solid Yellow Gold Tourmaline Beaded Necklace ($175)
Best for: real gold and real color under $200
Listed as solid yellow gold with colorful tourmaline beads, which is rare at this price. It’s a slim strand, so it works as a layering piece or on its own for someone who doesn’t want a big bead. The catch is the reviews: 5 stars, but from just 5 people, and I haven’t seen this one in person.

Monica Vinader Beaded Stone Necklace ($325)
Best for: the one she wears with sweaters all winter
The best-reviewed bead necklace I could find, at 4.8 stars from 26 reviews. Turquoise, peach moonstone and black onyx sit between pebble-shaped beads of 18K gold plate over sterling silver, so it reads earthy and classic at once. It’s 16 inches with a 2-inch extender. This one comes from my research, not my jewelry box.

The Lovery Rainbow Gemstone Bead Chain Necklace ($1,152)
Best for: the layered gold-and-gem look
Lapis, amethyst, golden pearl, coral, rose quartz, turquoise and pearl beads spaced along a 14K gold chain. It’s the closest thing I found to the layered gold-and-gem necklaces on my wish list, and it works alone or with the others in her stack. Nordstrom showed only one left when I checked.
For the Woman Who Wants Something Nobody Else Has
If you want the new thing she doesn’t know she wants, start here. Almost everything in this section is resin, glass, wood or plated metal, so think fun for a few years and not heirloom. I went looking for pieces that look collected instead of bought. One note on long earrings: they’re only a safe gift if she already wears them.

Panacea Beaded Teardrop Earrings ($23.79)
Best for: holiday parties
Deep red glass beads around an open teardrop, hanging from a textured disc plated in 14K gold. They drop 2 1/4 inches, and they’re festive without looking like Christmas earrings. They were marked down from $34 when I checked, so that price may move.

Kenneth Jay Lane Cluster Ball Drop Earrings ($35)
Best for: a wood-and-gold, earthy look
A bunch of dark wooden beads on a long stem, and very fall. Anni Lu sells a similar wood drop for $159, so this is the save if you like that look. They were on sale from $50 when I checked.

Kenneth Jay Lane Grape Drop Earrings ($36)
Best for: someone who already wears fun earrings
These are the ones people will ask about. Glossy purple beads hang in a cluster from a gold hoop, made to look like a bunch of grapes. Fruit is a specific taste, so I’d only buy them for someone who already leans playful. They were on sale from $60 when I checked.

Erin McDermott Sugar And Spice Beaded Necklace ($38)
Best for: a statement necklace in neutrals
Chunky resin beads stacked with brushed gold discs, in an earthy mix that works like a neutral. It’s the most necklace on this list for the money, and it was 51% off when I checked, down from $78, so I’d grab it early if you like it.

Pink Opal and Pearl Asymmetric Earrings (about $47)
Best for: the woman who loves a mismatched earring
These are from my own Pinterest wish list. Mismatched drops of pink opal and pearl on 14K gold filled, about 4 cm long, from a small Etsy shop, and they arrive gift wrapped. Searches for opalescent were up 115% in Pinterest’s 2026 trend report, so she’ll be right on trend. Check the shop’s delivery estimate before you order.

Noonday Menagerie Bracelet ($52)
Best for: someone who won’t wear a statement necklace
Beads in all different shapes and finishes with one big pearly bead as the anchor. It’s an easy way into this look for someone who isn’t a big necklace person. Noonday works with artisans in underserved communities around the world, which is a nice thing to say in the card.

Noonday Vintage Amber Drop Earrings ($56)
Best for: a holiday party, or anyone who collects odd earrings
A velvet flower covered in glass beads with a big glowing amber-colored bead hanging below it. It’s basically a brooch for your ear, and searches for the brooch aesthetic were up 110% in Pinterest’s 2026 trend report. My favorite oddball on this list.

Noonday Niska Pendant Necklace ($92)
Best for: one bold piece and nothing else
I found this one at Noonday and I love it. A ridged gold disc spirals in toward an open center, on a double snake chain, and it’s big enough to wear alone. It isn’t beaded, so it’s the change of pace in this section. It’s new for fall and gold-plated brass, so there aren’t any reviews yet and I’d treat it gently.

Mignonne Gavigan Clara Earrings ($150)
Best for: the woman who collects blue and white
Ceramic beads and freshwater pearls with cubic zirconia on 14K gold-plated brass. The blue-and-white bead looks like a piece of old china, so these read collected instead of trendy. This is the grown-up end of this section.

Quince Rectangular Bangle ($188)
Best for: the woman who has been eyeing a gold cuff
Searches for gold cuffs were up 50% in Pinterest’s 2026 trend report, and this is a bold one at a fair price: 18K gold vermeil with 4.7 stars from 364 reviews. It also comes in sterling silver if that’s her metal, and Quince gives you 365 days to return it.

Awe Inspired Spellbound Molten Pearl Mismatched Drop Earrings ($245)
Best for: a silver wearer who wants something interesting
The closest in-stock match I found to the mismatched drops I keep pinning. Iridescent black freshwater pearls and emerald-cut peridot in sterling silver, and the two sides don’t match on purpose. Most of this list leans gold, so this is a good one if she never wears it.
For the Sentimental One
A sentimental jewelry gift doesn’t have to be expensive, it just needs a reason. My very first piece from Hey June was a birthstone necklace in dark red for baby Lincoln, and that’s where all of this started for me.

Quince 14K Gold Birthstone Station Bracelet ($168)
Best for: a mom, with a stone for each kid
Natural gemstone beads spaced along a 14K gold chain. You pick the stone for her birth month or a child’s, and more can stack on later. It comes in 6.5 or 7 inches, and some stones sell out, so check her month before you get attached to the idea.

Monica Rich Kosann Nan Slim Round Locket Necklace ($3,500)
Best for: the woman who wants her people close
Solid 18K gold, slim enough for every day, and it holds two photos. I photograph families for a living, so I love that Monica Rich Kosann started out as a photographer. Right now I’d probably put in a picture of my immediate family and a picture of my siblings, though I’d also consider my great-great-great-grandmother, who I was named after, alongside a picture of my kids. Nordstrom showed only one left when I checked.
Watches Count as Jewelry
A watch is a great gift for someone who doesn’t wear much jewelry, since it has a job to do. It’s also the piece she’ll look at the most.

Vintage Gold Gemstone Watch (about $53)
Best for: the woman who wears a watch like a bracelet
Another one from my Pinterest wish list, and a jewelry-store look for about $53. A small Roman numeral dial sits on a gold bracelet set with rainbow gemstones, from an Etsy shop. It’s gold-plated steel, so treat it like costume jewelry, and check the delivery estimate before you order.

Nordgreen Native 36mm Watch, Gold Mesh ($155)
Best for: a milestone birthday on a real-world budget
I got my Nordgreen for my 30th birthday and wore it almost every day for years. Mine was the Infinity in gold mesh, which has since sold out, so this Native is the closest one in stock: a white dial on a gold mesh strap. It was on sale at $155 from $210 when I checked.

Cartier Small Tank Française Watch, Steel ($4,450)
Best for: a watch that wears like jewelry
This one is personal, because a Cartier Tank has been at the top of my own wish list for a few years. I want a jewelry watch I can wear every day, not one on a leather band, and the Tank Française is exactly that: a small steel case, about 26mm by 21mm, on a matching steel bracelet with a quartz movement. The Tank Must is the less expensive way in at $3,750, but it comes on a leather strap. I wouldn’t buy any watch as an investment. Buy it because she’ll wear it.
Investment Jewelry She’ll Wear for 20 Years
I’m using the word investment loosely here. Gold prices have been all over the place this year and I wouldn’t promise anyone a return on any of this. What I mean is solid gold or real stones from names that will still mean something in twenty years. Good pieces do show up the cheap ones (I have a Tiffany silver necklace, and next to it you can tell exactly which earrings came from Shein). If you want a designer name for less, pre-owned is worth a look, and I wrote about whether The RealReal is legit.

Quince 14K Gold Diamond Bezel Necklace ($198)
Best for: her first real diamond
A single diamond in a bezel setting on a solid 14K gold chain, with 1,109 reviews and a 4.8 rating when I last looked. A bezel is the setting with the thin gold rim around the stone, so there are no prongs to snag on a sweater. It’s the classic everyday diamond necklace at a real gift price.

David Yurman Cable Classics Bracelet, 4mm ($425)
Best for: a recognizable designer name under $500
Sterling silver with 18K gold accents, so it goes with either metal. This is the David Yurman look most people picture, and it’s a good one if she wears silver or mixes the two. It comes in sizes, so you’ll need her wrist measurement.

Quince 14K Gold Lab Grown Diamond Round & Pear Drop Earrings ($1,600)
Best for: a big anniversary, or the woman who wears diamonds every day
I don’t own these, but I love them. A round diamond sits on the ear with a pear-shaped diamond hanging just below it, 3 total carats of IGI-certified lab grown stones in 14K yellow or white gold. They’re only 16mm long, so they can work on a regular Tuesday as well as at a wedding, and they have 4.8 stars from 40 reviews. Quince compares them to $3,200 at traditional retail, and you get 365 days to return them.

Quince 14K Gold Lab Grown Diamond Tennis Bracelet, 5 ctw ($2,500)
Best for: a 40th, a 50th or a big anniversary
Five total carats of lab grown diamonds in 14K gold, in a classic four-prong setting with a box clasp and safety closure, and 4.9 stars from 81 reviews. Tennis styles have cooled on the trend pages this year, but I don’t think anyone has ever been sad to open one. You’ll need her wrist length, and Quince takes returns for 365 days.

Tiffany T Wire Bracelet, Yellow Gold ($3,950)
Best for: something recognizably Tiffany
An open 18K gold wire bangle with the T at each end, and it was on Who What Wear’s fine jewelry list in September. One warning: it comes in small, medium and large, and Tiffany’s page listed it as exchange only when I checked. Get her wrist size before you buy.

Pomellato Nudo London Blue Topaz Pendant Necklace ($4,850)
Best for: the woman who wears color and already has gold
A 12.40-carat faceted London blue topaz topped with a ring of diamonds on an 18K gold chain, made in Italy. Net-a-Porter’s investment jewelry guide names the Nudo line, and nobody will mistake that color for another brand. Nordstrom showed only one left when I checked.
For the Woman Who Already Has the Jewelry
If she already has plenty of jewelry, give her a beautiful place to keep it. A good box stays out on the dresser, so it’s a gift she’ll see every day, and you can tuck a small piece from this list inside.

Quince Leather Jewelry Travel Case ($40)
Best for: the woman who travels with her jewelry
Genuine leather with 4.8 stars from 1,195 reviews, and it keeps a few favorite pieces tangle free for a weekend away. It’s also an easy second layer to add to any gift on this list.

Quince Shagreen Leather Boxes, Set of 2 ($129.90)
Best for: a pretty dresser
You get a small and a large box in embossed shagreen leather, with a microsuede lining and solid brass hardware, handcrafted in India, and 4.7 stars from 67 reviews. One thing to know: these are open boxes with no compartments, so they’re better for a few favorite pieces than a big collection. Cream and grey were in stock when I checked.

WOLF Lauren Medium Jewelry Box ($585)
Best for: the real, forever jewelry box
WOLF has been around since 1834, and this is the kind of box you keep. It’s quilted ivory with a top handle and a gold clasp, about 11 by 8.75 inches, with 15 compartments and 7 ring rolls inside, plus a travel case and a small pouch. The LusterLoc lining is made to help keep jewelry shining. It’s a new style at Nordstrom, so there aren’t reviews yet.
Gifts of Time: When the Best Jewelry Gift Isn’t New
Sometimes the best jewelry gift is getting an old piece back into rotation. Pinterest’s 2026 trend report had searches for heirloom jewelry up 45%, and I get it, since a lot of us have a broken chain or a grandmother’s ring sitting in a drawer.
- Repair or reset a family piece. Take the ring she can’t wear or the chain that broke to a jeweler, pay for the work, and give it back wrapped.
- Book a permanent bracelet appointment together. A jeweler welds a fine chain around her wrist, so there’s no clasp to lose, and you get an outing out of it.
- Pay for a professional cleaning. Her everyday ring or chain will come back looking new, and that’s a small gift she’d never buy herself.
What Not to Buy
My rule comes first: nothing tied to something you want changed, and nothing you’re the main beneficiary of. A fitness tracker dressed up as a bracelet fails that test twice. After that, here’s what I’d skip.
- Rings, unless you know her size. A pretty ring she can’t wear isn’t much of a gift.
- Cheap, unbranded “sterling silver.” Fortune reported in October on a Sunday Times investigation that found a ring sold on Amazon as sterling silver was an estimated 92% cadmium, and TikTok Shop recalled a bracelet whose charms came in around 33%. The Consumer Product Safety Commission says there are no mandatory federal safety requirements specific to jewelry, so I stick with brands I can name.
- A tiny version of the thing she wanted. If she’s been talking about a big piece, a small stand-in can remind her of what she didn’t get. Buy something different at your budget.
- A big statement piece with no way back. Bold is great as long as you have a gift receipt. If it’s final sale, I’d pick something quieter.
Conclusion: What Would I Actually Want?
Look at my Pinterest wish list and you’ll get the answer fast: beads, gold, and anything that looks like it was collected over time. The pink opal earrings above are pinned on my own board right now, and those Quince round and pear diamond drops would be a dream. But the thing that has been at the top of my wish list for a few years is a Cartier Tank watch, or something similar: a jewelry watch, not a leather band, that I can wear every day.
For everyone else on your list, see my full Hey June review for the pieces I’ve worn the longest, and my best gifts for 10 year old girls if you’re shopping for a first real pair of earrings.
If you only take one thing from this guide, take this: look at what she’s wearing at dinner this week before you buy anything. That’s your answer.
Best Jewelry for Gifting FAQ
Earrings and necklaces, because there’s no size to guess. A small pair of gold huggies, a beaded gemstone necklace or classic pearl studs will work for most women. Match the metal she already wears, and skip rings unless you know her size.
Something personal, or something she would never buy for herself. A birthstone piece or a locket with two family photos usually means more than a bigger stone. If she loves color, one bold necklace can do it too.
Spend what feels right for the relationship. In this guide, $12 to $60 covers a sister or a stocking, $150 to $500 suits a milestone birthday, and $2,000 and up is for a big anniversary.
Yes. Gold-filled has a much thicker layer of gold than gold-plated, so it holds up for years with normal wear. My Hey June pieces have held up well, with one exception: a necklace I fiddled with all day until the oils from my hands caused some tarnish.
Earrings, pendants and necklaces with an extender. Bracelets and bangles are trickier, so check the sizing and the return policy first. Rings are the hardest to get right, which is why I left them out of this guide.
Usually a memory, a commitment or a milestone. A locket says remembrance, a birthstone says family, and a diamond usually marks a big moment. The meaning mostly comes from your reason for giving it, so put that reason in the card.
They can be. Lab grown diamonds are real diamonds grown in a lab, and they usually cost much less than mined stones of the same size. Some women care about the difference, so ask someone close to her before you buy.
