My Most Worn Purchases of 2026: A Mid-Year Report Card

Every December or January the internet fills up with those “favorite purchases” roundups, and I love them but I am always a little skeptical. “Favorite” is really just a feeling (or possibly the affiliate product the influencer is really trying to push for holiday bonuses). What I wanted to know was which things earned their place on that list by getting worn or used the most…. so here’s how I wish influencers would do their favorite products roundups.

This is a report card for purchases in 2026. It doesn’t include everything but it does include most of what I purchased for my closet in 2026 so far. I went back through my closet and camera roll, counted what I keep reaching for, and graded myself the same way I’d grade a product in a full review. The A’s are the things I’d buy again without thinking. The F’s are the ones I have to own up to. Since it’s only June, consider this the mid-year edition. I’ll do a part two when the year closes out.

A quick note: some of the links below are affiliate links, which means I may earn a small commission if you buy through them, at no cost to you. I only ever grade things I actually bought and use, and an affiliate link has never once turned an F into an A. The other disclosure is I did get a Quince gift card from the brand a few months ago and a few of these Quince pieces were purchased with that gift card … the rest of the Quince pieces were purchased with my own wallet (when things are gifted, I want to be up front with you). The Hey June necklace was also gifted from the brand but I have spent my own money purchasing jewelry from them this year (and for the last decade).

The A+ Class

Anine Bing Tyler Sweatshirt. This is my second Anine Bing sweatshirt in the last 9 months, which tells you most of what you need to know. I don’t re-buy things unless I’m living in them, and I am living in this one. It looks intentional with denim and with leggings both, it hasn’t lost its shape, and it hasn’t pilled on me. Anine Bing really has figured out how to make the perfect sweatshirt. She is pricey but fantastic.

Quince Silk Drawstring Pants. I bought these expecting a specific use case and they’ve become one of the most versatile things in my 2026 wardrobe. I wear them with a tank and flip flops, with sweater and loafers, dressed up with a little jacket and heels. The drawstring means they work through all the in-between seasons of a body that’s carried four kids. Easy A+. Were they the perfect thing to wear on a redeye last week? Yes, yes they were.

Loeffler Randall Glitter Ruffle Slides. My second pair of Loeffler Randall ruffle slides, found on The RealReal. They’re rainbow glitter, and they are the epitome of dopamine dressing. I’ve worn them with jeans and a plain tee to make a boring outfit spark joy but my favorite is with white jeans or trousers. I reach for them far more than I expected to when I impluse purchased. Ten out of ten, and a chunk of that grade is the surprise factor (p.s. If you google “loeffler randall glitter ruffle slides, there are lots of resale options available …just go up if you’re between sizes at all).

Summer Fridays Sheer Skin Tint. My pick for low-effort days when I want my skin to look like skin and not like I tried. The coverage is light, it goes on fast, and it never settles into anything strange by the afternoon. This is the one beauty product on the list I’d call non-negotiable right now. I will also mix it with a heavier foundation if I need a little more coverage without a full face.

Jo Malone Wood Sage & Sea Salt. I went down a Jo Malone rabbit hole this past and this is the scent I keep coming back to. Clean, a little salty, reads expensive without being too bold. I’ve bought it in more than one size at this point, which is my own version of a five-star review. I also love how all the Jo Malone scents are designed to be layered so I wear this alone and layered with a few other favorites (like the Scarlette Poppy and Blackberry and Bay).

The A Students

Alo High-Compression Leggings. The higher-compression pair with the slightly shiny finish, in the 7/8 length. I now own two black and one green, and I’ve given away every other workout legging (I have kept one non-compression alo legging and a lounge letting). When one thing replaces an entire drawer, that’s the grade right there.

Left on Friday HiHi Bottoms. A little context: I bought these new on Poshmark, expecting the exact Hi Tide bottoms I bought last year from Left on Friday, which are my favorite swim bottoms of all time. These turned out to be a different cut, higher on the leg with less bum coverage, and not what I’d have picked on my own. But the compression fabric is the same dream to wear, and they’ve got me ready to order more from the brand. The cut is the only reason this is an A and not an A+. Another pick that I wish I didn’t love and wish I had a cheaper version to recommend.

Stella McCartney x Adidas Dropset Sneakers. I bought these for lifting and they’ve handled lifting, short runs, and everything else I throw at them at the gym. They’re a fun style while still being all black. 10/10 – no notes.

AGOLDE 90s Jeans. My most-worn denim of the year, easily two to three days a week. (I’ll drop in the exact wash and fit once I double-check the tag at home.) If you’ve been jean-shopping and coming up empty, this is the pair I keep defaulting to. They’re loose and effortless without being volumunous. If they aren’t in the budget, I did just order this pair two weeks ago and have already worn them 4 times. So good.

Quince Belt. Small purchase, enormous wear. I grab this belt for almost everything, and it’s held up like a belt that costs a lot more. One of the easiest yeses on the list. I own it in black, mushroom, and white but the mushroom gets the most wear. I just saw they have restocked the black and brown croc version – adding to cart immediately.

Quince Leather Flip Flops. I’ve only had these a few weeks and they’ve already proven themselves. The leather is doing that good thing where it softens and improves with wear, and they’re the pair I keep slipping on to walk out the door. I brought them on a weekend trip this month and wore them to the pool, with a nice dress to dinner, and for the travel day home. Comfortable + chic.

Quince Woven Leather Top-Handle Clutch. This has quietly retired every other small bag I own. Date night, girls’ night, anything where I don’t need to haul much and don’t have the kids with me, this is what comes with me. My only complaint is that I wish it came in more colorways, because I would buy them. Its giving Bottega but with zero hardware and no four figure price point.

I just checked and both colors are out of stock but add yourself to the waitlist because this would be perfect for fall.

Hey June Golden Hour Necklace. A bright beaded gold-filled necklace that adds a pop of color to anything plain, which is most of what I wear. It’s $34, it hasn’t tarnished, and it sparks joy everytime I put it on. It is a look-a-like for the $60 anthro version but I like the colors on the Hey June one better.

Kérastase Hair Oil. I use this almost every day. The overnight version once or twice a week, the regular one three or four times on my ends or any time I curl my hair. My ends haven’t looked this good in a long time, and I’m already on a repurchase.

Haus Labs Foundation. I was skeptical and I’m impressed. The coverage is fantastic without going heavy or cakey. This is my more-coverage-day pick, the counterpart to the Summer Fridays tint above. My only complaint is the bottle has leaked so, if I travel, I keep it in a ziplock bag (but you can bet I still bring it on the trip). I also wish the dispenser was different. It gets a C for packaging but an A+ for product.

Tarte Shape Tape Concealer. A classic for a reason. Where has this concealer been all my life? It’s done the under-eye and spot-covering work all year without flaking or creasing on me. Fantastic.

Jones Road Miracle Balm in Dusty Rose. My everyday blush. I stopped using everything else. It gives the kind of flush that looks like I went for a walk, not like I applied a product. Dusty Rose is the shade I reach for over everything else.

Bondi Sands Self Tanner. This is a repurchase I’ve been making for half a decade. It’s the self-tanner I trust to look like a real tan. Reliable in a category full of disappointments (I’ve tried SO many different ones and keep coming back to this one).

The B Students

Quince Horsebit Mules. I wanted to love these so much. These are comfortable and very versatile, and I wanted them to be the perfect dupe for the Gucci Princeton horsebit mule (which have been on my wishlist for years). They scratched that itch, but I can see small imperfections in the stitching on the mushroom pair, and once I noticed them I couldn’t stop. I love that they’re leather, I love the style, I love the fit, I just can’t unsee this one stitching issue on my pair. A strange footnote: I also own them in black and haven’t spotted a single stitching issue on that pair, though I reach for the black ones less. They’re getting a B because I do wear them a ton, but the quality keeps them out of A territory.

Tuckernuck Satin Stripe Kerri Top. There’s nothing wrong with this top. She’s well made and stunning. It just hasn’t made it into rotation the way I expected, which is more on me than on her. A solid B: a good piece I haven’t given enough reasons to wear yet.

The C Student

Quince Silk Tank. I bought this imagining it as a set with the silk pants (that made the A list), a tidy two-piece I could buy together and wear together. Worn as a set, for reasons I can’t fully explain, it reads like nursing scrubs. I love the pants with everything else, and I’m committed to trying to make the tank work with white jeans or something but so far the only place I’ve worn it is my closet.

The Failing Grades

Tuckernuck Satin Stripe Ellington Skirt. I love this skirt. I’ve also owned it for three months and haven’t worn it once, because it needs to be taken in and I haven’t taken it to be altered. That’s not the skirt’s fault, it’s mine, and the grade reflects the lesson I keep refusing to learn: I have to stop buying things that need a tailor I’m never going to visit. If they have this in your size, the matching set is stunning and one of the only full outfits I’ve loved so much to purchase at full price. Here’s my commitment to going o to the tailor this week.

Quince High-Rise Swim Bottoms. I expected these to give me the same high-rise coverage as my Left on Friday bottoms, and they don’t. They are a full inch or two lower rise than the High Tide bottoms from LoF which is a deal breaker after 4 pregnancies (and lots of loose skin). The quality is fine for swim bottoms, and if you don’t need the extra rise, they’ll be good. If you do, though, I cannot say enough good things about the High Tide bottoms.

Incomplete (Grade Pending)

Carpe Deodorant. Too new to grade fairly, so I’m not going to. I’ve only used it a handful of days. So far I’m impressed with how well it works and less impressed with the residue it leaves behind. I’ll fold a real grade into part two once it’s put in the time.

LinenFox Striped Linen Set: This was a PR gift that arrived last week and I’m so excited for it! I had the hardest time choosing between all of their beautiful linen options.

In conclusion….

I’m doing better at buying things I love and wearing the things I buy. I just need to be better at making sure the things actually fit or taking the time to alter them.

If you buy one thing off this list, I recommend the Sheer Skin Tint (or splurge for Left on Friday’s high tide bottoms).

If you have a piece sitting in your closet waiting to be taken in, consider this your sign to finally book the appointment. I clearly can’t be trusted to.
