Asos Maternity Review
When it comes to maternity clothes, you’re probably hoping to find some cute comfortable things you can wear for the next six months without breaking the bank. You also might be looking for something that doesn’t scream maternity, avoids “frumpy” and still feels like your style.
For the stylish mama-to-be who still wants to feel like herself, Asos has a great selection of on-trend maternity clothes.
Today we’re talking all things Asos Maternity.
My experience shopping from Asos Maternity
I’ve been ordering from Asos on and off for the last 8 years but this pregnancy was my first time trying their maternity section.
I was pleasantly surprised by their wide selection, the diversity of new-to-me maternity bands (I think a lot of them are UK based), and their prices! When I looked at items on sale I could find lots of options under $20.
What I ordered from Asos Maternity
I placed one large order from Asos and kept a little over half. Here is what I ordered and the price for each item at the time
- Maternity Chinos ($9.60)
- Floral Maternity Swimsuit ($16.80) – returned
- Black Maternity Jeans ($14.70)
- Black Maternity Tank ($4.85)
- Black Maternity One Piece Swimsuit ($33.60) – returned
- Black Maternity V-Neck Tee ($11.50)
- Red Maternity one piece swim suit ($18.00) – returned
- Maternity Crewneck Tee 3 pack ($23)
- Maternity Puff-Sleeve Buttondown ($28)

Fit + Sizing of Asos Maternity:
I found Asos Maternity sizing ran pretty true to size with the exception of the swimwear. I ordered three different swimsuits and all of them had the same type of clasp at the back. The back clasp didn’t allow for any adjustments. This means that while the suits mostly fit at 20 weeks, they would certainly NOT fit at 30 weeks, even though there was plenty of room in the belly.
The other sizing difference with Asos is a lot of the items are listed in UK sizes so be sure to check the size chart and read reviews.
Asos Maternity Quality
I have no complaints with the Asos maternity pieces I’ve been wearing for the last few months. They hold up well, wash well, and are generally comfortable and flattering. The only exception is the swim (I talk about it in the review below) and I returned all three swimsuits I ordered.
Best Things to Order From Asos Maternity:
- Maternity Dresses
- Maternity Bridesmaid dresses
- Maternity Tees
- Maternity Basics
- Maternity photoshoot dresses
- Baby shower dresses
What to Avoid from Asos Maternity:
- Swim
Conclusion:
Go check out Asos maternity if you’re on the hunt for on-trend pieces in the lastest style that will work for a growing bump. Also, if you’re looking for a unique formal option, Asos has one of the best selections of unique maternity dresses.
Mini Asos Maternity Reviews
Here are a few mini reviews of specific Shein maternity items I’ve ordered and worn.
Asos Maternity Swim
I ordered three maternity one pieces from Asos, really hoping to love at least one of them. The fit on these was on the small size, especially in the chest. As your chest grows throughout pregnancy, there is little give with the back clasp (that I’ve never seen on a maternity suit before).
There were lots of cute patterns and options from swim but I sent all of the suits back.
Asos Maternity Tees Review
Another blogger recommended this three-pack of crewneck maternity shirts during her pregnancy and I made a mental note to try them if/when we had another kid. They’re a great basic, especially if you’re looking for a maternity tee without ruching. I end up wearing these to bed, around the house, and out and about. They’re great for a summer pregnancy (but I prefer a v-neck when layering with cardigans the rest of the time).
Asos Maternity Tank Review
A maternity tank for under $5? Yes please. This isn’t anything to write home about but it is a good summer basic I throw over a swimsuit with shorts when we head to the pool.
Asos Maternity Eyelet Dress Review
This one is so pretty but I wasn’t expecting it to be unlined. I wore it mostly as a swimsuit coverup or else I would have needed a slip underneath it (this would would have been perfect).
