Maternity Review: Blanqi Compression Slip Dress
Today I’m sharing a new maternity favorite and talking all about this maternity compression slip from Blanqi. This review is not sponsored and all opinions are my own. Spoiler: I love it.
BLANQI BODY COOLING MATERNITY CAMI SLIP REVIEW:
Last pregnancy I ordered this compression slip to wear under fitted maternity dresses. It is such a game changer. It smooths everything out while also giving a little bit of support. In the last couple of moves (and not being certain we were having any more kids) most of my maternity clothes got sold/donated. I have been looking for something similar this pregnancy and was excited to try this option from Blanqi.
It comes in a couple of colors (black, a sage green, a peach pink, and white) and I went with the white so I could wear it under most of my lighter-colored maternity dresses.
Here’s how it stacks up:
First Impressions of Blanqi Compression Slip:
I loved the material on this right out of the bag. It is made out of the same super soft and comfortable compression material as their leggings and bike shorts (and the belly bands in their maternity jeans).
Fit:
This runs tts for a tight, compression fit. I ordered my regular maternity size (which is one size up from my pre-pregnancy size because I gain about 40 pounds each pregnancy).
Quality
I have worn this 5-6 times now (other than these pictures, always as a compression slip under other dresses). I’ve washed it a handful of times and opt to hang it dry. It would probably be fine to throw in the dryer but I don’t want it getting any shorter.
The material on this is a luxurious nylon spandex blend and really comfortable. It is thick, supportive, and incredibly comfortable without being hot (which is a huge win for a summer pregnancy). The website says it has a moisture wicking yarn that lowers temperature by 1 degree which I totally buy after wearing it. I wore it under this maternity dress for a conference last weekend and the combo was so comfortable I opted to just trade my heels for sneakers and leave on the dress to travel home.
My only complaint is I loved the non-slip band that was around the bottom of my other compression slip which prevented it from riding up and that this dress doesn’t have one. I haven’t had problems with the blanqi slip riding up too far when wearing it under a dress for a few hours but it doesn’t stay in place quite as well as the other one.
Ideas for wearing Blanqi Compression Slip:
- As a slip: This is how I wear it 99% of the time and it is fantastic for smoothing everything out.
- Maternity Pictures: I’ve gotten a few requests for maternity photo recommendations for dresses that aren’t flowy. This one gives you the option to really showcase the bump without any additional frills for a more minimalist session. Plus, you could wear it under a flowy dress and then just wear it by itself for a few photos without any real outfit changes!
- Flirty date night look: Throw on a sweater for a date night look that is as comfortable as it is cute.
Conclusion:
I love everything I’ve tried from Blanqi and this slip dress is no exception. I’ll get tons of use out of this through the rest of my pregnancy and as a compression slip post-partum as well.
I would 100% recommend.

#1 Pick
This is slip I used and LOVED under maternity dresses during my last pregnancy. It is pricier and worth every penny. This made a big difference under my maternity bodycon dresses.
