Mini Shein Kids Review: Gingham Girls Romper
Okay, have you seen anything cuter than this product image? I was skeptical about this purchase because this seems like something where fit would be important. I generally try to stick with things where fit is a little less important when it comes to Shein purchases…. but at under $15, this gingham romper was worth the risk.
Here’s how it stacks up:
It is SO darling right out of the package. The fabric has a bit of texture to it (you can tell when you look at some of the close up pictures). It seemed like a better quality piece than I was expecting but I was unsure how it would actually fit on my 5 year old.
This fits true to size but if you’re child is inbetween sizes, size up. It works if it is a tiny bit big (in these pictures my daughter is wearing her larger size).
I initially ordered this last summer in the 6y size for my daughter who was wearing 4t-5t and it was much too big. I ordered it again in pink in the 5y size and she wore it all last summer. This year she is almost 6, wearing mainly 5t and the occasional 6 and it fits well with a little room to grow.
The fabric doesn’t have a lot of stretch to it so this is not ideal for climbing trees, jungle gyms, or doing gymnastics. The fabric is not see-through, though and SO darling. Adelaide wears it to birthday parties, church, and school. The fabric has held up to wear and washing (and I’ve treated minor stains out of it without issue).
I would order this again in a larger size if they had it! How cute would it be for Easter next year?
The cutest thing you can buy on Shein for a little girl right now. The pink is still sold out but the blue is almost fully stocked. It also looks like this yellow and green is the same romper, just a different listing.
P.S. If you love the gingham, I just ordered this set for my daughter’s birthday and I’ll keep you posted.
