Legoe Heritage Maternity Review

Today we’re talking all about Legoe Heritage Maternity, an Australia based, fashion-forward maternity and postpartum clothing brand, in this honest review. All opinions are my own. This post may contain affiliate links.

Logoe Heritage Maternity Review

Have you heard of Legoe Heritage before? This maternity and postpartum clothing label makes beautiful pieces perfect for pregnancy and and the stage afterward. Legoe Heritage really shines when it comes to modern, stylish pieces that manage to be incredibly comfortable AND not scream maternity.

I placed a large order from Legoe Heritage in my third trimester and really wish I’d known about them sooner in my pregnancy.

Here’s how they stack up:

The maternity pieces I ordered:

Legoe Heritage Fit:

The fit on my Legoe Heritage pieces is more of a relaxed, casual fit. These aren’t pieces with lots of ruching to show off a baby bump. Think oversized knits and under the belly elastic waist pants.

The fit worked really well for my very pregnant belly and then I was pleasantly surprised when I could wear them post partum. There were a few pieces that were great with my post partum pooch and a few more that I’ve kept in my regular rotation now that I’m back in most of my pre-pregnancy clothes.

It does seem like for many of the pieces Legoe Heritage created beautiful non-maternity pieces and sized them differently (so the maternity sweater I ordered in a size medium is really just a non-maternity size large sweater). I personally love this. I have so many maternity pieces that are skin-tight and all about the belly. This line of clothing accommodates the bump without having it be the highlight of every outfit.

Their sizing is a little different if you’re used to the standard XS, S, M, L sizing model. I ordered a size 1 which is equivalent to a US Medium, my true maternity size at that point. The fit was loose and relaxed in the medium and I might have been able to get away with a size 0 (US size small) and been able to wear the pieces a little bit less oversized post partum. I recommend ordering your regular maternity size and enjoy the relaxed fit. If you’re in between sizes, size down.

Quality of Legoe Heritage

The quality on everything I have from Legoe Heritage is top of the line. Everything is soft, well made, and holds up (from my few months of wear).

I do hang dry most of the knit pieces (like I do with all my sweaters) and follow the care directions. These are definitely a step up from maternity purchases at GAP or Pink Blush Maternity.

Best things to order from Legoe Heritage :

  • sweaters
  • dresses
  • lounge wear
  • matching sets

A beautiful, high quality maternity brand to put on your list.

Mini Legoe Heritage Reviews

Here are a few mini reviews of specific Legoe Heritage pieces I’ve owned over my last few pregnancies. Some of these are classics they’ll bring back again (I hope) and some of them might just be from this season.

Fleetwood Button Knit

This high quality knit is one of my favorite pieces in my closet, pregnant or not. I paired it with Legoe Heritage’s white linen maternity joggers while pregnant and have worn it with jeans and leggings in the last six months post partum.

This is a sweater you can wear now and later. The fit is oversized and cozy.

Portobello Cotton Dress

This dress is pregnancy perfection! Comfortable, loose, and intentional. The style works well with a bump but it is stylish on its own. It seems more like a great dress that works with a bump than a great maternity dress (in the very best way). I wore this up until 8.5 months pregnant and it was one of the first pieces I wore to events post partum.

Legoe Heritage has this same style in another color or two and if you’re pregnant through the spring/summer, this is a great piece!

Legoe Heritage Henley Tee

This striped henley tee might be my favorite piece in the order (along with these ribbed joggers). The buttons are functional making it a great nursing top. It works with a very pregnant belly and is comfortable and cute post partum.

They’ve sold out of the stripe but they have it in a solid white which is a great basic for any maternity + post partum wardrobe.
