9 Yr Olds BTS picks with adidas

Back-to-school shopping doesn’t really end when the bell rings on the first day—it just shifts into real life. A week in, and my daughter has already declared that a few upgrades would make her school days much better. (Apparently, a new backpack or pair of sneakers has the power to turn class into a magical experience. Who knew?)
This year she’s leaning hard into pinks and reds and purples—bright, fun, and plenty girly. She already has her beloved classic white Sambas, but wanted to branch out into pieces with more personality. I’m voting for some of the darker shoe options so they stay clean longer, but that’s Mom 😉
So, whether you’re a fellow parent who’s still checking boxes on your back-to-school list (better late than never!) or just want a few fresh ideas to get kids excited to put their shoes on and get out the door, here are some of the adidas pieces my daughter is especially loving right now.
- adidas purple backpack – because apparently last year’s backpack suddenly has “bad vibes.” (shop all adidas backpacks)
- Spezial red + pink shoes – there are only a few sizes left so she’s convinced they must be extra special.
- Light pink shoes – go with everything, but still pink enough that she’s excited about them.
- Pink sparkle VL Court Shoes – guaranteed to make her run faster at recess (at least that’s what she tells me).
- Dusty pink water bottle – because water tastes better when the bottle matches your shoes.
- Liberty print skirt – does this come in my size, too?
- Athletic socks – the little detail she insists “makes the whole outfit work.”
- Red Campus sneakers – her “power shoes” for spelling tests and kickball (but will absolutely limit the shoe picks to 2)
Technically, school already started, but we’re calling this “ongoing back-to-school shopping,” and it works just fine. A new pair of sneakers or a fresh backpack is the kind of thing that sets fall tone even when it’s still 85 degrees, you know? And if she and I end up twinning in colorful adidas kicks? I’m definitely not mad about it.
