Westward Shores on Lake Ossippee

When we were back East for my little sister’s wedding this summer we snuck up to New Hampshire’s lakes region for a few days of pre-wedding calm. 

About half an hour from Lake Winnipesaukee is the smaller, quieter lake Ossippee that we spent hours swimming in at family reunions growing up. 

When Westward Shores reached out and asked if I’d like to come stay for a few nights with the family, we had to say yes to such a nostalgic trip. 

We stayed in one of their little cabins right on the water (very similar layout to the houseboat we stayed on when we first got to Boston). For me, the highlight was gorgeous sunsets on the quiet water with so many of my favorite people. For the kids, they loved jumping on the inflatable jumping pillow with other kids at the park and renting a paddleboat on the lake. 

We all loved eating ice cream before dinner, the waffle fries at the snack hut, and being able to wade out so far in the shallow lake.
