Mini Shein Review: Peter Pan Collar Top
Oversized collars are coming in hot this year. We saw the trend make a splash in spring 2021 and it has transitioned for fall hues and texture.
I really like the look but was hesitant to spend up on something I wasn’t sure I was going to love (and something I might not wear very frequently). So I turned to Shein.
I LOVE the dark green color of the gingham and the oversized collar. I’m in Orange County so the short sleeved length works really well for days when you want to feel like fall but it is still 80 degrees in September/ October. It also layers really well under sweaters without all of the bulk of long sleeves.
First impressions:
It needed a steam right out of the bag (like every Shein piece). I use this $30 steamer from Amazon and love it. It takes the wrinkles right out of pieces like this.
It isn’t lined (like most Shein pieces).
There is very minimal hardware (only one button closure in the back) and it looks much nicer than it is.
Fit:
I ordered an XS which is my regular size. There is plenty of room in the chest/ waist but the arms are a little tight. You have some flexibility with sizing because it isn’t a fitted top (you could probably go up or down a full size and be fine) but if tight arms bother you, stick with your regular size.
The slightly cropped length works tucked into something that is high waisted.
Conclusion:
Love this top. I’ve worn in multiple times. I’m keeping an eye on restocks of other colors (they have four colors available but in very limited sizing right now).
Highly recommend.
