We had a blissfully empty weekend over here (after ones pack full of activities/meetings/errands for the last few weeks) and it was so nice to wake up on Saturday with no plans but to spend time with my two boys. When you throw in some spring-like weather and a daylights saving change that lets me feel like my baby sleeps in later, I’d be happy to hit repeat a few more times.
I’ve been stuck in a bit of a style rut trying to find things I like wearing over this ever growing baby bump so I was quite happy with the way this outfit came together. The cape-like sweater (technically called a “ruana”- who knew?) does an excellent job letting you imagine everything is still slim and trim under there and the wedge booties lengthen without being difficult to walk in. Comfortable and flattering is a winning combo in my book and while flares don’t work well for me at 5’4″ without heels (mostly because they’d require extensive hemming which I never bother with), I love any reason to dress them up a bit.
