Anniversary Dinner Decor [with printed Instagram photos]
Ben and I celebrate two years of marriage tomorrow so I’m thrilled to be collaborating with Walgreens and Collective Bias to showcase this fun photo table runner I put together this weekend through printing photos from my phone for our anniversary dinner.
We’ll spend part of our celebrations this week at home and I wanted something festive and meaningful for our anniversary dinner. I used the new Walgreens App to print Instagram photos from the past two years and got a little crafty. With a little special glue (it helps to have a chemical engineer who works for a high tech adhesive company in house) and muslin, I created this easy memory-packed table runner.
You could recreate it with any kind of fabric backing and a hot glue gun. I made sure to lay out my pictures to figure out exactly how long my runner would be. I ordered 80 pictures for this one and it was 6′ by 8″ (I picked up 2 yards of white muslin fabric for $4 at Joannes). The width of the fabric should be slightly skinner so that the pictures “hang off the edge.” Use a dot of glue to attach each picture to the fabric.
After our anniversary dinner, this table runner is hanging on the wall in my study until further use.
Materials For Your Anniversary Dinner Decor:
Instagram Prints (or any old pictures): $30 from Walgreens
Muslin Fabric Backing: $4
Glue gun (or a high tech adhesive 😉
total project if you have a glue gun: $34
**Using the Walgreen App to print instagram pictures is super easy (for a step by step click here). I just picked them from my phone, chose my nearest Walgreens location, and picked them up an hour later (and paid in store). Each picture is 4″ by 4″ and costs $.39. If you do facebook 4″ by 6″ prints they’re cheaper. I love how easy it is to print and I forgot how much I love getting real pictures developed (its been a long time). You can bet we’ll be getting a few more pictures developed around here thanks to this app. #WalgreensApp

**For this project I wanted each of my pictures edited a specific way so I created a separate instagram account and uploaded each of them. It took a few more minutes but I love how they aren’t just black and white (my original plan).
