5 Bump-friendly Dresses for Second Trimester
On the hunt for bump-friendly non-maternity styles?
I am all about buying maternity clothes and finding things that make you feel awesome while pregnant (why did I wait so long my first pregnancy?). But, there is that in-between stage when a lot of your regular wardrobe might now work but your bump hasn’t popped. A lot of these are also really great for hiding your bump if you aren’t ready to share the news yet (#1 and #4 are the best for that).
Here are 5 non-maternity dresses I’m wearing into my second trimester. Most of them are things I’ve had in my closet for months/ years and wear regularly not pregnant. They won’t all last into my third but the tiered dresses will also be so flattering post partum.
Which one is your favorite?
Dress 1: Leopard Puff Sleeve Dress
This was a favorite budget non-maternity find on Shein last summer and it is still on regular rotation.
I’m wearing my regular pre-pregnancy size.
Dress 2: Tiered Tie Dress
By tying this one a little higher up, it works so well with a growing bump (but I loved it not pregnant, too)
(sage green sold out but linked the same dress in a slightly darker green – even darker green available here for $20)
Dress 3: Striped Bodycon Dress
This bodycon dress was not a favorite first trimester when I had a lot of bloat and didn’t want anything tight touching my belly, but, now that I have a little bump it is comfy and cute. A striped, stretchy, midi dress works really well for accommodating a growing bump even if it isn’t maternity.
I’ve had this dress for years and years but linked a similar option that is under $30 right now.
Dress 4: Floral Tiered Dress
This is such a beautiful dress and I love the back tie detail. It is comfortable, well made, and even prettier in person.
This would also be beautiful for newborn pictures if you’re having a little girl (it isn’t tight, gorgeous tiny floral print, and the tiers are very forgiving / don’t highlight the post partum belly).
Fully stocked but only a couple of each size left.
Dress 5: Square-neck Tiered Dress
This new Amazon find is so versatile and fun. The square neck and mocha color is very on trend right now and this one is very easy to dress up for down with plenty of room for a growing bump.
I ordered a size up from my regular size so I could wear it this summer when even more pregnant but its a little big through the shoulders/ chest (it won’t be in 3 months, though).
