I am so excited to have partnered with Olay for today’s sponsored post and share with you the results of taking the Olay 28 day Day Challenge over the last month. If you’re looking to make changes for your skin in the new year, keep reading and don’t miss the $40 off coupon at the end of the post!

Just in time for the holidays I decided to commit to taking better care of my skin and I am SO glad I did.

I’ve started to have a few signs of sun damage in the last year or so and as I’m getting older, I’m really just trying to establish good daily habits that my future self will thank me for. Because you can bet the last three years of pregnancy and sleepless newborn stages did not do wonders for my skin routines.

For the Olay 28 Day Challenge, here’s what I did:

I swapped out my morning moisturizer for  Olay Total Effects Moisturizer with SPF 15 and made sure I applied it every single day, without fail. I missed a few mornings over the last month just because I hadn’t gotten to washing my face yet but I made up for it by applying the moisturizer in the afternoon.

I also added Olay Eyes Deep Hydrating Eye Gel into my morning and evening routine. I applied it at least once a day, everyday.

Here’s what I noticed during the Olay 28 day Challenge:

I LOVE the moisturizer.

To start, I’m not a huge fan of moisturizers with sunscreen. I know I need sunscreen, but if I’m comparing the consistency, smell, and feel of moisturizers with sunscreen to those without, I’d always pick one without. The Olay Total Effects Moisturizer with SPF 15 is wonderful though. I’m glad to have found a moisturizer that makes sunscreen a part of my routine whether or not I’m wearing makeup (I have makeup with SPF in it).

My skin felt more supple after about a week into the Olay 28 Day Challenge – more moisturized and not oily. And after a month I’m noticing more smoothness, too.

The biggest difference I noticed was with the Olay Eyes Deep Hydrating Eye Gel. I really worried about puffy under eyes or wrinkles yet but after just a few days of using this cream I was hooked. A month later my under eye circles are lighter, the skin under my eyes is smoother and more elastic, and overall I just look more awake.

I learned the skin under your eyes is the thinnest and usually the first to show signs of age and fatigue. The Olay Eyes Deep Hydrating Eye Gel lightens, moisturizes, tightens, and cools the skin under my eyes for a refreshed look.

What you wouldn’t be able to tell from the before and after photos is that the last month has been the most exhausting and trying of the year. It’s my busiest month of work and Ben was in full fledged recruiting and finals mode as he wrapped up the semester. The girl in the after photos is significantly less rested than in the before photos and I had been doing a much worse job of drinking water which usually has a big negative impact on my skin. So my eyes might be bloodshot and I might be running on 5 hours of sleep, but the bags under my eyes (especially my left eye) are almost gone entirely!

Not specifically part of the challenge, but I also added in the Olay Exfoliating Cleanser into my shower routine for whenever I wash my hair (so 2-3 times a week). I like having a gentle exfoliator on hand that isn’t part of my daily routine and this one has been great.

And confession: It was also that time of the month at the very end of my challenge when my skin is at it’s very worst. I still got some minimal hormonal acne but the rest of my skin still feels great. Overall I’ve spent a lot more time out and about without any makeup feeling good about my skin.

The challenge is over but I’ll I’ve been keeping all three of these products in my daily + weekly skin routines for hydrated, healthier skin.

^this is me at the start of the challenge, just out of the shower with no makeup on. The light hides the redness pretty well but you can see the dark bag under my left eye.
