Mustard and Daisies

Dress: mom’s closet (similar here) // Shoes: Franco Sarto (similar here and here)  // Belt: Forever 21 // Earrings: gifted (worn for my wedding day!)

Its shaping up to be a beautiful week (and life 🙂  here in Cincinnati. The weather has cooled down with the occasional rain storm but the sun makes his fair share of appearances (he came on a little too strong Monday afternoon and my poor skin has been drinking aloe ever since). We are loving it here – I’m almost a little surprised at how much. Our neighborhood is great, the apartment is great, and we’re oh-so grateful for our new friends from church.

(I contemplated writing a “10 reasons I’m Happy to be a Mormon this Month” post just to document how wonderful it is to move to a new place, have a whole congregation welcome you, multiple dinner invitations, and new friends all within a week or two. It doesn’t help that new friends have adorable babies. Or maybe it does help, if the ultimate goal is to have my own beautiful babies. )

The climbing gym is growing on me, we found my new favorite restaurant, and there are little trails right behind our complex. Sams has milk for under $2, I’ve rediscovered my love of baking (see this and this), and when Ben gets home there is nothing to do but relax, play, and spend time together (no homework!). Life is good.
And just a few words on this dress: My mother purchased it when we first moved to Tokyo twenty years ago. She says she wore it once. Mustard + buttons + pockets = perfection. I have a feeling this dress might stick around in my closet for a few decades too.

  2. I wouldn't look good in mustard due to my yellow skin-tone but on you this looks stunning! The neutral shoes complete the whole look perfectly! Dropping by from the link up 🙂
