Midi Skirt // Bows on Bows
For a girl who prefers knee length skirts, the midi trend right now is right up my alley. I might have gone a little overboard and ordered a few of this one (different brands, different colors, but essentially the same skirt) last month. The last two arrived today and I’m now desperate for occasions to wear them (wait, you don’t wear poofy party skirts on a daily basis?).
I love how this one does al the flaring on its own. I thought I may have to add a tulle skirt underneath to get the fun full skirt look from the website but the fabric is a little stiff and falls so nicely. You could dress this one up for a spring wedding or soiree but I’m not sure you can do much to dress it down. Maybe a striped tee and flats for dinner with the girls? Regardless, I’m in love.
Unlike the skirt, this top has endless options. It’s my all time favorite blouse because it maintains all the versatility of a white shirt while still having plenty of style on its own. I have to limit myself because I’m convinced every skirt and every new pair of pants look best with this blouse (seen here, here, and here).
On a completely unrelated note, happy Friday! We feel like a big weight has been lifted over here (see this post if you didn’t hear our good news) and every day feels a little bit like the weekend. Yesterday we celebrated with a delicious late lunch downtown and then I spent a good chunk of the evening getting caught up on photo editing (this is one of my favorites from last weekend).
P.S. For all of you fitness enthusiasts, I’m considering trying a workout supplement and found this one with a free trial. Have any of you used it? Do you have other recommendations?
