Barely There Makeup Tutorial with bareMinerals Liquid Foundation
Happy Monday! Today I’m partnering with bareMinerals, to bring you a ‘barely there almost no make-up’ look featuring their new bareSkin liquid foundation. I’ve been wearing bareMineral’s powder foundation (and their blush, mascara, eyeshadow, primer, moisturizer + more) for years, so I was thrilled when they announced they were revealing a new liquid formula.
New Bare Minerals Liquid Foundation: the benefits
All of the products I use in the tutorial are from bareMinerals and realistically, 90% of my daily makeup comes from them. I love the natural minerals in the formulas and the miracles they do to my skin. I’ve tried other liquid foundations I like, but after a few weeks (or days) of wear, my skin starts to break out. The light liquid in the new bareMinerals liquid foundation was formulated with the bare minimum ingredients. Its a tone-correcting mineral foundation and skincare serum all in one and for my skin, its phenomenal.
For this post, bareMinerals shipped me several bottles of their new liquid foundation, but as of this month, you can pick it up at any bareMinerals boutique as well as Ulta, Sephora, QVC, Macy’s and Dillards.
Bare Minerals Liquid Foundation brush
Along with the foundation, bareMinerals also launched the perfecting face brush, a new applicator brush which is far superior to any beauty blender or other applicator for liquid foundation I’ve used. When you go pick up a bottle, I’d recommend grabbing this brush as well. If you’re wondering how to use the Bare Minerals liquid foundation brush, keep reading for the tutorial.
5 Steps to a Barely There Makeup Look:
1. Start with a Primer:
bareMinerals has an amazing primer that sets your makeup and helps it last longer. It also evens out your skin (I’ve used it for a few years with their powder foundation and love it). I’d recommend starting with some kind of primer, although when I’m in a rush, I’ll skip straight to their bareSkin foundation.
2. Bare Minerals Liquid Foundation:
Simply shake the bottle of the Bare Minerals liquid foundation, squeeze a drop onto the bare minerals liquid foundation brush, and blend into your face. You can get a light coverage with three drops and if you’re going for more coverage, use up to six.
Wondering how to use the Bare Minerals liquid foundation brush? Once you’ve squeezed your drops onto the center of the brush (see picture), blend using circular motions, starting in the middle of your face and working outward.
If you need a little extra coverage in spots, use a concealer brush with a drop of foundation on it.
**It always good to set your foundation with a powder. The Mineral Veil from bareMinerals is perfect for this step. It helps control shine and keeps your liquid foundation in place for the day. Dust it lightly over your face.
3. Blush and Bronzer:

I love BareMinerals and am so glad to see that you love the new liquid foundation. I just bought more powder foundation, but I think I'll go in to try out the liquid one.
It's the only makeup I use that will not break out my face. Thanks for the great review!

You look great – natural and fresh! I have tried a few things from BareMinerals – I use their eye liner in Plum for a few years and also love one of their eyeshadow palettes (forget the name of it, but it's in a gold-colored case)
