So really, I’ve been living in sweatpants for the last three weeks, not being one of those women who walk out of the hospital in their skinny jeans. But, I did get dressed for a quick little date last week and it was great to have something so comfortable but put-together to wear. These classics from Banana Republic are bound to be summer staples around here when I stop the regular rotation of joggers and start getting dressed again (probably in a few more weeks when buttoning these pants should be a bit easier ;).
Denim Jacket: This piece can carry you from Spring to Fall and goes with almost everything you’ll wear in between. Throw it on with your favorite summer pant or use it to dress down a summery skirt/dress.
bonus* Straw Hat: These hats have been everywhere this season and in addition to being adorable, they do an excellent job of hiding unwashed roots of day three hair 😉
I love the color and fit of the pants, a striped linen tee is always a good idea, but the piece I’m most excited about is this denim jacket. I’ve owned one or two over the years but they’ve always been lower quality pieces that didn’t fit quite right and really weren’t that comfortable. This one though, it’s soft, perfectly distressed and with just the right amount of stretch, I’ll be wearing it with everything through the fall (I can even throw it on with my joggers now and feel a bit better about the fact that I’m still in sweatpants at 2:30 in the afternoon).
