This place is beautiful. The weather must have got the memo we were coming out because it has been simply gorgeous. Here are just a few of my favorites from our trip 🙂
We got in on Wednesday afternoon and by Thursday we were nestled into this cozy little studio down in Monterey (yes, I have wonderful in-laws, I know 🙂 We spent the evening on the beach, eating seafood, and finally cuddled up for a movie. It felt like we were right back on our honeymoon 🙂
The next morning we hit the beach. California waves are a little rougher than the New England ones, and I got tossed around a little – but let me tell you, I am now a pro boogie boarder 🙂
There’s my stud and the ocean. and a farmers tan 😛
I tried to convince him to just never leave – I really did.
Ben’s parents joined us for the day down in Monterey/Pacific Grove and after more beaching, museuming, organic farming, and icecreaming (mandatory, obviously) we ended up at this fabulous seafood restaurant. Here are some pictures form the pier while we waited for our food.
Oh – artichokes … yeah, it was delicious.
Oh and COOLEST THING OF THE DAY? We saw sea lions (i think?) pupping! Did you know that was a verb? Yupp – we saw all of them and their brand new pups lying on the beach. If only we’d been patient enough to wait around for that really fat one to give birth…
But we’re headed back to Utah today – long, long drive. And I wish we weren’t leaving, but hopefully we’ll be back in August. If we do – are there any “must do’s” in the no-cal area I have to add to my list?
