Sister Sister

So having my little sister here for the last week has been SO MUCH FUN. Not only was it awesome to have two extra sets of hands who loved helping out with baby Lincoln, but my sisters have grown into my best friends over the last couple of years. It is also hard to believe that she’s headed off to BYU for the fall. Hard to believe because it means not only that she’s old enough to be in college, but that it has been SIX years since I started my freshman year. Part of me wanted to pack up some new fall clothes along with crisp new notebooks and head off with her.
Just some pictures from one of our day’s hanging out last week:
^Maddie thought about packing up Lincoln and taking him with her… I only considered it for a few seconds 😉

^we pulled out all the clothes she’d packed, organized them into outfits, and I managed to convince her to get rid of at least a handful of items

^Lincoln was a happy baby with all these extra people around to love him – but just look at that face! (and you can see his two bottom teeth that came in recently)
^this bathing beauty… <insert heart eyes emoji here>

^I picked up this pool on clearance for like $3 and its been a hit 🙂

^sorry, but I couldn’t help myself 😀

^After fun in the pool we giggled like five-year-olds as we zipped through Walmart on the back of a cart, picking up some last minute essentials for Maddie and for dinner. Last time we were in Walmart when she was visiting someone asked if we were twins – no such luck this time 🙂

^there were too many $5 hats to pick from … and I stocked Maddie up on nice disposable razors (trying the new Schick® Xtreme3 Ultimate) for the next semester with this BOGO free coupon … I remember buying incredibly cheap razors my freshman year and cutting myself shaving the first week in those dorm showers. Hoping we’ll help her avoid that one.

^Post shopping — I miss her already.

P.S. I’ve been using snapchat for the past few months exclusively to send embarrassing pictures to my sisters and have now started oversharing silly videos of Linc + embarrassing pictures with the rest of you @elisabethmeg. But I’m quite excited for the snaps I expect from this girl at BYU in the fall. And glad she’ll still get her daily dose of Lincoln 😉

  1. I love those hats, I had same one. Yes, twins for sure. I can't tell who is who.

  2. Aw having your sis visit is SO much fun. Such a special time. I'm popping over to tell you the must sees of Nashville – go to the gulch (just google it), shop at the Nordstrom there (it's THE most amazing nordstrom I've ever been to), eat anywhere in German town, stay at the inn at Fontanel. Have so much fun! It's an amazing city!
