This post was sponsored by Aixallia as part of an Influencer Activation for Influence Central. I received complimentary products to facilitate my review.
An alternate title to this post might be, “ways I keep myself entertained while waiting for a baby.” But really, I’ve been trying to find little indulgences to help with the waiting game and today I’m excited to tell you about one of my favorites. I recently found a skin care regimen I love, but I’ve been looking for ways to round out my beauty routine (sometimes you need a little something more than a cleanser + a moisturizer).
I was drawn to Aixallia’s organic botanical base (they sent me products to review but all opinions here are my own) and the fact that this new French skincare line is made with proprietary ultra-pure water. Everything about it sounded refreshing (and to a pregnant lady in the heat of summer, refreshing is great). It turns out this combination of ultra-pure water and the gentlest natural botanicals lived up to my hype and getting ready for bed in the evening is now a simple pleasure all its own.
Here are a few of the products I’ve started using regularly to up my skin game for summer (and those post partum hormones that will be setting in soon – eek):
Of the full Aixallia line, the Lavender night cream is my favorite. I’ve been sticking to my established skin care routine in the mornings but in the evenings I was just running a makeup removing cloth over my face (whether or not I wore makeup that day) and jumping (well, waddling) into bed. Now, I’m a bit more diligent in using the gentle and soothing Five Plants Emulsifying Makeup Remover around my eyes before moisturizing with the Lavender Soothing Night Cream. The consistency is so light and soft and did you know lavender is proven to help sleep?
I’ve also been using the Rose and Almond Hydrating Body Lotion after the Coconut and Calendula Exfoliating Shower Gel and feel a bit like I’m in a french spa each time I take a shower. I haven’t been as diligent in applying the Revitalizing Eye Cream or the Green Tea Protective Day Cream, but the scent of everything is amazing. If you’re looking for something ultra hydrating this summer with just a touch of indulgence and elegance, you’ve found it (and you can use Blog20 for 20% off your order). Personally, I’m just happy everything is organic and natural so I don’t need to worry about switching out my products when baby girl arrives. I already have the hand cream packed in my hospital bag (which I’m hoping to be using sooner rather than later).
