I’m not sure how it happened, but sometime in the past few weeks, Ben has become the definite favorite. Lincoln is often quite darling all day long, but it doesn’t matter how tired or cranky he is, you can bet come 5:30 when Dad walks in the door, all he wants to do is coo and smile. With the temps getting warmer and the sun staying up a bit longer, I love having the chance to spend time together outside after Ben gets home from work and before little Linc goes to bed (we’re going strong with about a month of an 8pm bedtime). After being cooped up for the past three months with this little guy, we’ll take any chance to get outdoors.
Linc has started to grow out of many of his baby clothes so the warmer temps have also been the perfect excuse to start building a summer wardrobe for this little guy. I think its so fun that baby clothes are sold in outfits (convenient, right?) and picked up a few coordinating ones at Target so we can mix and match now that he’s wearing more than just sleepers. They have so many darling baby options that get me so excited about dressing little boys. Did you see our Easter outfit pictures? With everything from bow ties and hats to little shoes and sunglasses, Target has it all (and then some). Its also nice that I can pick up everything else on my list in one trip (because I can only transfer Linc from the car seat to the wrap so many times…).
Here are a few pictures of Linc and Dad in their coordinating spring outfits – (I thought about asking Ben to change into his navy polka dot button down and his green shorts too… he only needs a striped sweater vest 😉
^polkadots and stripes …. he’s got this pattern mixing business down 😉
^He’s growing up so fast! And if the growing up didn’t mean sleeping through the night, less tears, and a more consistent schedule, I might let myself be sad about it.
^I learned that constricting shoes are poor for baby’s foot development, so these soft ones from Target are great
^I have a feeling he’ll be walking in no time (although we’ll work on sitting up first)
