I hope you had a wonderful Easter weekend! Lincoln convinced his grandparents that the twelve hour drive was worth making for two and a half days together and it was so wonderful to have family here for the holiday. We look forward to each time we get company but there is something about having loved ones close when celebrating life + hope + love that makes it even more special. Plus, you can’t beat house guests who do all of the dishes and half the cooking 😉 #pregnancyperks
Here are just a few snapshots of our Easter Sunday (my favorite is Lincoln in my dad’s arms – that smile!):
^Here’s the group of us after church – Ben sang a duet and my little sister had a few people come up and compliment her on her husband’s singing 😛
^We didn’t go all out with Easter decor but this blue linen table runner I picked up for the occasion and these little eggs from Pier 1 were the perfect touch
^Lincoln loved having doting adults in the house all weekend – he warms up to my family much faster each time we see them and this time he couldn’t get enough of Grandpa (over Christmas he might have been a bit terrified of Grandpa in the beginning 🙂
^Does your teenage sister jump up and start doing dishes at your house while everyone else is still chatting at the table? Also, there is nothing better than watching your family love your baby
^Ignore me – just look at Lincoln’s face 🙂
^For dinner we had a delicious brisket my mom made, my favorite crescent rolls (recipe here), my sister’s crunch top potatoes, salad, and peas (per Lincoln’s request). We then skipped all dessert baking plans we had and opted for a light assortment of Easter candy.
^This little boy LOVES to be outside. He stands at the door and begs about four times a day to go outside. It didn’t hurt that yesterday was 70 degrees either (not photographed:the cute little boat shoes we had on him for half of the day)
^My dinner plate (we moved the table outside so we could enjoy the weather on the back deck).
^All the Easter clothes came off for dinner 😉
Me: My dress is from lulus two years ago (non maternity) but my sweater is available in all sizes here.
