Our New Ohio Apartment

We had a successful weekend in Cincinnati two weeks ago and were fortunate enough to find an apartment that had an early enough move in date! After the first few hours of searching we began to get nervous that we’d have very limited options given our time frame but before we even saw the apartment at our new complex I had such a good feeling about it. It was everything we were looking for in our new home and the thought of moving to Cincinnati is so much more exciting now that I know exactly where I’ll be going. I can’t wait to get settled in, purchase real-people furniture (I think all the furniture we own at the moment was purchased for less than $250 on craigslist), and begin decorating. Ben’s already moved in and its killing me!
Here are a few snapshots of the model apartment. Ours is the same layout with just a few more square feet.

My favorite things:
  • 9 foot ceilings
  • the open nature of the kitchen
  • a laundry room the size of our current kitchen
  • two bedrooms and two walk in closets (hello storage we’ve been missing!)
  • lots of natural light
  • they let us paint!!

Oh and the pool and clubhouse area has wifi. You can bet where this little blog will be coming to you from this summer šŸ˜›

Do you have any favorite decor sites or home inspiration?
I”ll be sharing some of my favorite spaces soon šŸ™‚
Happy Friday!

  2. that is so exciting that you have found a place. I love Ohio. Born and raised then moved to utah after high school. You should go up north this summer to Amish country. In Holmes County and Ashland County. Those are the places i am from. If you can save up some money and buy your furniture in Amish Country. Your furniture will last even after you are gone.
Have fun and enjoy the pool side.

  3. Having a laundry room and walk-in closets will be nice!

  4. I was in CIncy about two weeks ago, and always go there once a month; every month for business šŸ™‚

  5. Oh goodness, it looks so beautiful! You are so lucky they let you paint, there's nothing sadder than living in a beige box, it just doesn't feel very much like home until there is some color! Congrats!

  6. You're going to make that place so great! I live in Cincinnati, closer to UC. I actually know someone who has a strikingly similar layout in their place and it makes me feel like you may live near each other. Haha. Enjoy the city!

  7. I LOVE your new place! Can't wait to see what you guys do to make it your own! Congrats!! šŸ™‚
