So I’m not sure why I never realized ’till now that the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale is amazing discounts on NEW FALL styles. For a girl who loves the clearance rack, it’s fun to be able to shop the sale section and get things for the upcoming season instead of the one just ending. The sale opened to the public this week and a few of the things I had my eye on have already sold out (it was opened to card members a week early)! I picked up a few pieces yesterday and am still deciding on a few others but the deals are so good it’s hard to pass up. I’ve loved seeing what other friends have purchased so I thought it would be fun to share.
Here’s what I’ve ordered so far:
Faux Fur Vest: This Top Shop piece was definitely my splurge for the sale but its under $100, at a great discount, and will go with everything this fall. The fur is on trend for the upcoming season and I think it will pair really well with a ton of things I already have in my closet (dressing up all my v neck sweaters and button downs). P.S. There are only a couple of sizes left.
Blush Sweater: I live in simple v necks and skinnies in the cooler months and I love the dusty rose color of this one. Plus, the price is great (only $25! and it will go great under the vest).
Drawstring Jacket: It was hard to pick a color for this jacket (and I actually had Ben help me choose) While I really liked the navy and grey, I’m just loving all of the blush tones right now. Plus, I don’t own a lot of pink so its nothing like anything I already have.
Printed Tee: I’ve found myself wanting to wear nothing more than a tee shirt and jeans most days (especially with a 63% change my baby will spit up on what I’m wearing) and I’m seriously lacking in the fun basics department. I love this with just plain jeans but also think it would work well for pattern mixing with so many of my skirts. They have this in a million colors/patterns/solids and at $15.90, I might order another one or two.
Classic Plaid: I have a navy and white gingham shirt I love but I shrunk it and its a bit too short to wear with just jeans. This one is a classic plaid that will layer well or stand alone with jeans and you’ll probably see it a lot in the coming months.
Joggers: I love the dark red color (although they come in a couple other colors as well) and I’ve been living in my linen joggers this summer so this seems like the perfect fall transition.
More Plaid: I love the pinks in this plaid top and think it would go wonderfully with the faux fur vest I just ordered. The price is a bit high for a plaid top but the sale is great and I would wear it all the time.
Peacoat: I have 4902 too many coats but the price on this one is just too good (under $40).
Lace Pencil Skirt: Such a classic piece at such a good price – I have incredibly similar skirts in black and in cream though so I’m not sure I can justify it.
Ultimate Fall Chambray: I have a couple chambray shirts I live in but most of them are a lighter wash so this seems like the perfect option for fall/winter. I also love that its not a traditional denim wash so it can easily pair with all of my jeans (and those maroon joggers!). P.S. It also comes in white and a lighter wash.
I’m also waiting to pull the trigger on this gorgeous pair of denim. I wore them for a styled shoot with Saks last year and they are the most flattering/comfortable pair of jeans I’ve ever put on. I’m torn because I’m still a size or two away from where I was pre-baby and I’d hate to buy a favorite pair of pants that doesn’t fit yet but it would be equally sad to buy them only to have them not fit in the next couple of months.
I’m also loving these leopard flats. I have a well worn pair from Nine West and I love how well the print hides the wear and tear. I’m going to hold off till I can try these on over the weekend before deciding though.
