The first full summer we were married we splurged on this beautiful red number at Nordstrom Rack (because a Michael Kors jacket on clearance at Nordstom Rack is a splurge, even if its almost a million percent off). We called it an anniversary present. Its a lighter jacket, and not suitable for the dead of winter, but it is my very favorite anyway (I featured it on the blog almost exactly a year ago here). I love the silver toggle closures and a hood reminiscent of the fairy tale character. I’m being converted to those pieces that will last for years, through the trends and the wear.
I threw the jacket on over this silky dress shirt I’ve been loving from PersunMall. I love that with its busy pattern its an outfit all on its own. I added a belt and some fun earrings but felt plenty put together without layering or thinking too much about the outfit. It would be perfect for class, work, lunch with the girls, or an afternoon of errands. That’s my kind of shirt.
