If only sometimes you weren’t so sharp. You remind my fingers how fragile and weak they are. You bite my skin like you’re hungry and I would really appreciate if you’d feed yourself before I climb you. I wish it didn’t take so much chalk for the two of us to get along, I like you way better on your own. But, thank you for giving us a reason to be outside for hours on end. Thank you for giving us an excuse to spend so much time with dear friends. And thank you for biting me into shape.
Sometimes spending all afternoon rock climbing is wonderful.
Especially if when you’re not working the rock, you’re fast asleep in a the hammock by a river.
