Friday already? The thing about three day weekends is the make the next week go by unbelievably fast. Last night over ice cream with new friends I was thoroughly terrified at the prospect of adding a little one to our family (bleeding boobs, hormonal roller coasters, impending baldness) and so while I am still so grateful for this tiny babe inside me, today’s post seems rather appropriate. On another note, any mamas of there have maternity jean recommendations? Please and thank you.
A few favorites from this week around the web:
Speckled Grey Sweatshirt Dress // When the colder temps set in I’m all about comfortable and cozy so this J.Crew sweatshirt dress seems like a dream. Its a more feminine take on the stylish sweat pant trend and I love how you could mix styles with a pair of heels or layer on some knit tights and knee high boots. Realistically though, I’d pair it with sweater socks and wear it around the house all winter long.
Faux Leather Pencil Skirt // On sale for only $22, this little beauty could be paired with a printed tee/sweater (like the Adore Pullover) or dressed up with a silky blouse. Layer on the tights and boots for the cooler temps or slip into a fun pair of heels. If only this would fit around my bump.
Grey Skinnies // I’m imagining these with cream knits and black boots all winter long. Come winter I tend to get stuck in a dark denim rut (its not a bad rut to be in, but still) and I think these would be the perfect way to mix it up. Plus, they’d totally work into the spring months as well paired with more pastel colors. Versatility for the win. Use code HAPPY for an extra 25% off (loving this subtle floral version too).
Adore Pullover // Probably my favorite piece of the bunch, this sweater is perfect for fall layering (can’t you just see a little maroon gingham peeking out?) or a more minimalist look all on its own. With the extra 20% off online today only, its under $25.
Textured Blazer // I’m seeing blazers everywhere this fall and I’d love to play around with textures using this classic piece. Imagine it over a knit pullover with a crisp white collar popping out … or get a little edge with a faux leather top.
*Also, if I’m going to buy one pair of heels this season, it’ll be these quilted pumps. I’m not entirely sure what I’d wear them to in Findlay and I definitely don’t need anymore heels, but they’re gorgeous (and on sale).
**And these $3.00 polkadot gloves are the cutest.
