I Love a Successful Surprise

January 19, 2014 //  by Elisabeth McKnight//  5 Comments

Casey thought our afternoon was for photo shoots and alt summit prep. Its the only surprise party I’ve ever successfully planned 🙂
Little Miss Stevens gets here sometime next month and it was so fun to have everyone together to celebrate! I was so grateful for the latecomers and the early leavers because it would have been a tight squeeze with everyone there together. She is already one loved little girl.
^^the party planners the guest of honor
^^I opted for little blooms scattered around the apartment instead of big bouquets (if I hadn’t bought too many flowers it would have been infinitely cheaper in addition to being quite cute)

^^a little bit of the set-up before the rest of the food arrived (parties are so easy to throw when you have so many willing hands to pitch in!)

^^my favorite brownie recipe from here (they’re from scratch but just as easy as making brownies from a box)

^^mini cheesecakes

^cookie dough cupcakes (pinterest would have been proud of our spread)

^^its not a party without patterned straws 😉

^How great is this face? I’d say the surprise was a success! (you’ll notice the camera in tow, she really thought she was coming over to snap some pictures of me and ben)

^^me and the two stevens girls 😉

^^all the gifts (and my work in progress piece of furniture)

^^nothing like piles of cute baby clothes to make you want a baby girl
^^baby Gap does it again – does this come in my size?

^^some of the lovely ladies

^I have beautiful friends.
