The view from this hotel is AMAZING!
Blogging from the 25 floor of the Marriot Marquee Times Square – new favorite pastimes? maybe 🙂
|not my picture, sorry – but it is my view 🙂|
But before I get ahead of myself, I have a story.
We got into the city at about 3 after a wonderfully relaxing morning watching general conference. After checking into my parents hotel we drug my luggage a few blocks to my hotel in Times Square. It wasn’t until we got to the front desk, about to attempt to check in, when I realized it wasn’t there.
My little sister had been carrying my purse.
How had I ALREADY lost my wallet?
At least there wasn’t any cash in it.
But I had no ID, she wouldn’t let me check in, and don’t even get me started on wells fargo employees.
Apparently if I can’t give the exact dollar amount of my last deposit, I am not who I say I am.
Turns out it was just back in Connecticut, in the shopping bag from last night, and I’ll have it in the morning. Thank God (literally, very very literally).
But anyway, after that slightly traumatic hour and a half we got to watch the last of conference, enjoy delicious Chinese food, listen to a fascinating analysis of Joseph Smith’s candidacy for president, and the grand finale: Carnegie Deli Cheesecake.
Yes, this girl now likes cheesecake.
Especially when coupled with chocolate mousse.
If you’re in NYC, the truffle torte at carnegie deli is hardly overrated. Just saying.
Hope you guys had a great weekend!
P.S. New York + Family + Food = True Love (well, almost)
