P.S. All opinions are completely my own and no one said anything about mentioning HiChew, but heck yes I am getting a free pound of candy for mentioning Blickenstaff on my blog! Any local blogger can do the same thing – check out their fb page for details 🙂
I apologize for my exclusionary posts, but this one is also for local Utah people, sort of (if you haven’t entered today’s fantastic photography giveaway, stop reading and go do that first!).
Have you ever heard of HiChew? The better question is have you ever tasted it? Its a Japanese candy that has slowly made its way to the United States in the past few years. I grew up on it in Tokyo when I was little and finally seeing it in stores here make me so happy! Yuki, my best friend from Tokyo, would bring it by the cases when she came to visit! Admittedly the American version tastes slightly different – but my husband can’t tell the difference. Lots of places in Provo have it but I stopped in Blinkenstaff’s at the Riverwoods before a movie last week (shh don’t tell – they’re candy selection is just way better and cheaper than the theater) and found SO MANY HICHEW flavors. I forgot to tell you then but we’re on our way to Macaroni Grill for dinner right now so you know I”ll be stopping by to pick up some more of my favorite chewy goodness on the way home.
Oh and as seen in that first photo, clearly Blinkenstaff’s has more than HiChew – they’re endless candy options might be the death of me 🙂 Last time I was in I couldn’t leave without about seven different things (and 10% off because it was my birthday month? please and thank you).
If you don’t live in Utah, find HiChew somewhere else, and then come back and thank me.
