Forgiving Fall Tops + New Website!

Happy Monday, friend!

I hope you had a lovely fall weekend. I spent a lot of it working through some things for this new site and a little of it prepping for an upcoming trip to New England. Notice anything different around here?

I’m THRILLED to finally be able to show you this new site design and I hope it makes finding things on here a bit easier.

One of the most frequent requests I get is making things easier to navigate, especially recipes. So, now if you want to find a recipe, you can click on the recipes tab and view the collection in a neat little grid, sorted by categories. I’m still updating some old posts so they’ll show up in the proper category but I think this will make finding our favorite family recipes SO much easier.

The other big update is the mobile site. I realized that over half of you were coming to the blog from your phone and my old design just wasn’t optimized for mobile users. Now, it should be a much smoother experience and easier to view categories and search for content on mobile.

Between that, a much quicker loading time, and a cleaner sidebar, I’m really pleased with how it came together. If any of you fellow bloggers are looking to move to wordpress, Lisa at Elembee is a wizard (and her free guide to wordpress plugins is fantastic).

I’m still working on a few things including an updated contact page, about page, and new FAQ. Speaking of, if you have any  questions you’d like answered in the FAQ, leave them below or tweet me over @bellatheblog (still need to update that handle :P).

On a non-blog related note, these pictures were due to be another installment of my post partum dressing series last month but they never made it. This top (sold out) has been a favorite these last few months because it is so forgiving. I’ve rounded up a few similar options that are still available below but the bell sleeves, the front detail, and the looser fit of this shirt are all wins in my book. Plus, as much as I love basics, I love that these tops create a pulled together outfit with just a basic pair of jeans and the booties already in your closet.

I have a post partum fitness update coming soon (I can finally hold a plank for longer than thirty seconds!) but until then, happy shopping!
