Family Weekending
I’m just dropping in with a few pictures from our Saturday afternoon. Its the kind of afternoon I would never remember down the road if I hadn’t toted the camera along, but it was made up of the simple happy kind of hours that are my very favorite. We wandered downtown a little bit and then spent some time at a park, letting Lincoln crawl around the play structure and swing till it started to rain. Downtown, we parked the stroller on a side street and Lincoln spent a solid twenty minutes walking up and down the sidewalk, chatting with us and pointing out every bird or car that went by. He’s just figuring out this shoe business and it is so fun (and so rewarding) to watct him become more confident as he navigates the little ups and downs of the pavement.

^the funniest was when Ben offered his hand Lincoln reached out and pushed it away as if to say “I’m doing this all by myself, Dad”

I’m not sure when he went from a baby to a toddler, but it’s a good thing I have another one coming in June or I would have to be a little more torn up about it.

thanks diana! yes, I was so glad I got one of that smile on the swing – he really lights up when he gets in one (this was the second time this season).
I know what you mean about those ordinary moments you'd otherwise forget. I feel the same way! Also, Lincoln is adorable!

Your family is so cute! I have a 6 month old little boy and it is so fun to watch them grow up. It's also a lot more fun now that the weather is warmer and we can go outside on walks!
amen to that – the warmer weather is a game changer with little ones. and you're right, it is so neat to see how much they learn! with Lincoln I'm always blown away by how fast things change…it seems as if he's the same for weeks and then over the course of a few days he's learned all sorts of new things š
