Tom and Chee has the best grilled cheese in Cincinnati, the magazine at the eye doctor told me so. I’ve waited months for this grilled cheese and so when the downtown location was closed 6:03 on Saturday, we decided to drive all the way to Kentucky (an extra ten minutes ;). We ended up at Newport on the Levee during a baseball game and a carnival. There were lots of people, fried food, and good country music. I think I could be a southern girl for a year or two.
We headed straight for the food. I ordered the mac & cheese grilled cheese with bacon (because I like my carbs with carbs, naturally) and a side of creamy tomato soup. Ben got the chicken pesto and while that was delicious, the most exciting was definitely the mac & cheese. I haven’t decided if its something I’ll try at home or just splurge for once in awhile when we’re out. The picture below doesn’t do it justice.
And speaking of pictures, here’s quite a few from our Newport date this weekend:
^best grilled cheese ever. ever.
We spotted Ben’s twin walking around with two little girls. They both got the green shorts, white polos, and tan flip flops memo.
^ Cincinnati is right across the river
^ I love him for lots of reasons, the fact that he puts up with my excessive requests for pictures is just one of them.
|blouse: c/o Sheinside (love it in rose)// pants: J.Crew (sold out online but wishing I had picked up these too) // wedges: c/o Lands’ End // bracelet: c/o Kardashian Kollection via Sears // earrings: wedding day pearls|
^^ I should have ironed this top but it arrived that day and I wanted to wear it. I love the flutter sleeves and how this color works for summer but will be perfect under layers for fall.
Cincinnati, we love you.
