Ben’s 25th Birthday
Benjamin turned twenty-five last weekend! When I met him, he was 22 (and I thought that was old). We’ve both grown and changed in these past three years and I am so proud of the man he is becoming.
We celebrated Saturday with lots of outdoors activities and eating out but saved the cake and homemade dinner for Sunday. He requested Tres Leches and after reading plenty of recipes, I ended up adapting one from The Pioneer Woman for our celebrations. Other than the cake, Ben’s favorite part of this mini celebration were the striped straws. Minted sent us some party supplies awhile back and I love how easy they made it to get festive for the occasion. You can bet we’ll be recycling the decor so don’t be surprised come November if my birthday looks just like this (which quite a bit more chocolate on the table :P).
Here are a few more snapshots of our birthday cake festivities:
^^he’s the cutest (he was content to sit and sip all afternoon)
I’ll have lots more about our birthday festivities coming soon
Our party decorations can be found here and you can see his ice cream sundae party last year here!
Wish we could have been there! This may sound strange but I love that husband of yours! (I hope you love mine too haha)
Love those decorations! Did you have any guests?
Looks like so much fun! Super bummed we missed it!! Boo for me getting sick 🙁
This is the cutest party! I wish my husband would let me decorate like this for his party. Instead I had to but up Batman decorations (Umm…he just turned 29!!).
