We’re not letting the eighty degree days here in Cincinnati fool us – its fall, and we love it. Friday night we headed out to Niederman Family Farm with friends for a night of corn mazes, pumpkins, and hay rides. By going so early in the season we beat the crowds and enjoyed mild temperatures late into the evening. We crossed two things off our fall date list and had lots of fun watching little Taden experience everything from the tasty rocks he found to his new animal friends at the petting zoo.
I love the fall, just like I’ve heard almost every person out there say in the past weeks. But until I moved to New England, I loved the winter. Fall takes me back to crisp morning and gorgeous leaves. Its warm chocolate chip cookies at cross country meets and hot chocolate after the volleyball game. Fall was for fresh starts, new classes, and old friends and I am so excited at the thought of spending just one more fall in New England with Ben. Someday.
^^The fields in the fading light were so gorgeous (I might have taken way too many pictures of them).
^^They had delicious fresh cinnamon doughnuts
^^The boys had fun with these races (apparently Ben’s face is justified because he won 😉
^^This little guy loved watching the boys play…and loved it even more when Dad helped him play too.

I’ve been wearing this heart top with just about everything this past week. The colors are great muted tones for fall that pop just enough to be fun. I ordered it on a whim because it was on clearance (now back in stock) without high expectations along with this top and both are new favorites. I threw on this faux leather jacket for warmth and I love the neutral tone that adds style without a lot of edge. The jacket is incredibly versatile and will look great layered over fall jewel tones (like I’m sure you’ll see on here over the next few months).
How was your weekend?
