An Afternoon in Windsor

Another post from our time in Europe in April (more here and here)

We arrived in England on a Friday morning, after traveling all night and sleeping for a small handful of hours. Those first few days we made it a point of getting out and doing something more than sitting and catching up with our good friends in Reading because we knew we’d end up sleeping when we shouldn’t (I was SO exhausted). One afternoon we drove out to Windsor to spend a few hours wandering the town and checking out the castle (and trying not to buy all the things in all the darling shops).

Here’s more of our afternoon in pictures:

^We didn’t pay for the tour of the castle but we did  walk around it (I remember thinking the tour was really neat when I was there in high school but the price was a bit steep and we opted for a photo and fudge instead 🙂
^my two handsome men

^We tried to visit the queen but she wasn’t in
^This is one of my all time favorite pictures of me and Lincoln and has been the background on my phone for the last two months
^and one more because I love him and the joy he brings into my life – I whisper to him every night as I put him to bed how happy we are that he’s a part of our family, because really, just look at that face (and imagine the giggle)!
^Windsor is filled with the cutest shops

^And fun walls to document 32 week baby bumps
^If you ever pass a Cath Kidston store, do yourself a favor and go in, even just to look around at everything!
^Everything in this store was so cute, but I also really loved the use of this peg board – an awesome way to store handbags in a closet or bedroom!
^Lincoln finishing up a little shopping 😉 (actually, his outfit is from this darling British store who sent him a few things before our trip when they launched their US website…so when we came across a brick and mortar when he happened to be wearing his JoJo Maman Bebe, we had to snap a picture).
^most days he’s better dressed than I am
^the best picture we could get of Linc + O (by the end of the two weeks they were giving each other hugs …but in the beginning Lincoln mostly stared at him :P)
^We picked up fudge just down the street from the castle and it was TO DIE FOR

On Lincoln:
Blazer: JoJo Maman Bebe, c/o  (on HUGE sale right now!)
Shirt: JoJo Maman Bebe, c/o (down to $7 from $32 and stocked in all sizes)
Shoes: Pediped, c/o

On Me:
Jacket: Banana Republic (sold out)
Dress: GAP maternity (sold out, but it is my all-time favorite so I hope they bring it back for you pregnant ladies)
Shoes: Keds via Famous Footwear, c/o (the color says Charcoal Blue but it really is more of a heather grey – although the new striped option they have is my favorite!)
