I bought a gallon of milk today that expires on Christmas which means we are getting so close. The prospect of being home in less than two weeks is compensating for the fact that my body decided to get sick. Recipe testing is not nearly as enjoyable when you can’t smell anything and it all tastes the same (but don’t worry, anything with ricotta is delicious and I’ll have Ben taste test it so tomorrow’s recipe will still be edible ;).
While I recoup and drink my body weight in orange juice and herbal tea, I have a cold weather outfit for you. This orange coat is one of my thrifted gems of the season – albeit more than I’ve paid for anything at a thrift store. I threw it over a sweatshirt to run mandatory errands today (like buying milk and orange juice) and had a two minute conversation with the sweetest checkout ladies who couldn’t get over the fact that I had “thrifted such a gorgeous piece!” Today I’m grateful for milk that reminds me of Christmas and checkout ladies that make me feel beautiful 🙂
coat: Forecaster International // blouse: 7 for Mankind // necklace: Our World Boutique // pants: Vince// boots: thrifted
