Thanks for being so good to me, even if I don’t always recognize it.
And for you Utah folks, I’ve got a fun piece of news! Remember the roundtables Bonnie and I hosted before I moved to Cincinnati? Well, we’re getting together while I’m in Utah this month for another one! As a little refresher: A blogging roundtable is a group of girls, sitting around a table at a delicious dessert restaurant, talking all things blog. The discussions lasts for 60 or 90 minutes and is for all levels/commitments of bloggers (plus, I’m sure I’ll be sticking around to chat for awhile afterward so I’d love to meet you :).
We have a theme to each roundtable, something to guide the first part of discussion. In the past, this normally takes up about half the time and then it turns to general blogging questions, blog strategy, and the blogging community. This time we’re focusing on photography and using images on your blog. I attribute 80% of my blogging growth and income spike over the past six months to my investment in learning how to take and use great pictures. We’ll be chatting a little about lighting, styling, editing, and sharing images and how to use social media to get the most out of your images. If you have a DSLR and have questions, feel free to bring it, if not, there is still so much you can do with a point and shoot or great iphone pictures.
We’ll be meeting at one of my favorite little places in Utah and its $10 to reserve your spot (we keep it a smaller group so everyone gets the most of out of it). After awhile the discussion with open up to just about anything related to blogging, so if you have other questions, or just want to get together with a fun bunch of bloggers, we’d love to have you!
