A Girls’ Getaway

This past weekend we packed Lincoln up in the car again for another trip down to Cincinnati (you would think he’d be a pro at sitting in his car seat by now…). Ben and the babe enjoyed a guys night with friends while I headed downtown with some of my favorite ladies for an evening complete with delicious Mexican food, hotel bathrobes, gourmet cupcakes, and a little bed jumping.

I was the girl with the over half my bag filled with pumping gear, but it was wonderful to spend a full evening with the women I’d looked up to as mothers for the past two years. I felt a little bit like I’d finally been initiated into the club…or that at least I could better appreciate how awesome these ladies are. In some ways becoming a mom has reminded me that moms are still individuals with habits and goals, but in others it has shown me that I never really got it before – that I could never really relate to these women who did such hard things because I didn’t have a clue.

But anyway – back to the weekend fun. There are a million pictures and a bit of commentary after the jump!

^Casey, Haley and I surprised our friend Joni for her thirtieth birthday. And yes, we did make her carry these balloons from the parking lot into the downtown hotel so we could have them in the room all night šŸ™‚

^We had a great view of fountain square (remember when we took anniversary pictures there?)

^this is right as our pyramid began to fall….
^Casey did indeed pack stemware
And now I’m just counting down till the next one of us has a birthday… šŸ™‚

Have a wonderful Wednesday!
