I made it back to Ohio! Last week was such a fun spur-of-the-moment trip to New Hampshire to spend more time with my family but I am excited to settle into our new routine here at home. Ever since Lincoln was born we have been so blessed to have so much help in the way of family visiting (which has been a life saver) so we have yet to really figure out life just the three of us.
Anyway, with the weather warming up (a high of over sixty later this week!), life just the three of us will definitely be consisting of lots and lots of family walks. We’ve traded in the mountain bikes and the climbing harnesses for the baby jogging stroller (for now), but I’m excited about the opportunity to be active with these two.
Here are a few pictures from our first walk as a family of three (I’ve been out walking with Linc a few times but never with Ben):
^this little guy in his brown bear suit just kills me (and I love looking back on the first time we took pictures in it when he was just one week old!)
^just strolling around our little neighborhood
^This jogging stroller from Chicco is AMAZING (I haven’t been so excited about a product since I discovered maternity jeans eight months ago). I flew back with it from New Hampshire on Saturday and it was a dream to travel with. Southwest offers free gateside check of strollers and carseats so I got to take it all the way to the gate and then have it during our connection. It’s easy enough to maneuver with one hand (when the babe decides he’d rather be carried) and is so smooth. I’m planning on sharing more about it in a favorite baby gear post but just wanted to make a note of how great it has been. And the carseat is MUCH easier to take in and out than the one we originally purchased two months ago.
^I’m so ready to retire the scarves for the season
^rockstar dad right here (I can’t wait to send Ben out on his after work runs with the baby)
^this little chubster isn’t quite sure how he feels about walks in the cold (or maybe he”s just ambivalent about being a brown bear?)
