A Day in Mass (the state, not the religious ceremony)

While we were in New England for Christmas we took a day trip down to Hopkinton to see two of our very favorite people. Carly and Ryan were our neighbors in Provo for the past two years and we endearingly call them our “married roommates,” in attempt to represent how much time the four of us spent together. The hardest part about the move to Cincinnati has probably been living without these guys, after having them be such a regular part of our day for years. Our Thanksgiving plans were thwarted (remember this post?) so we were feeling even more grateful to be on the same holiday schedule as these two (Carly is from Boston so wherever we move, we’ll be in New England at the same time  for Christmas every other year).
We ditched our plans for a day of site seeing in Boston and went for a more low key day of good food, fun games, and more laughing than I’ve done in a very long time.

^^We headed to Bertucci’s for lunch, one of my favorite restaurants. If you’re ever there, the Silano is my very favorite pizza.

^^We got lots of rolls to go – Bertucci rolls are the very best. Fun fact: For our wedding, our caterer convinced Bertucci’s to sell us their dough so we could bake them fresh at the reception. When I told the waitress this, she brought us lots of extras šŸ˜‰

^^After lunch we headed to downtown Hopkinton. The boys played frisbee while Carly and I wandered the cute little shops, arm in arm.

^^back together again (and all of our attempts at one normal picture)

^can you tell we love each other?

^Carly and I took a few pictures on our walk

^^We ventured inside the cutest antique/gift store. Every nook and cranny was overflowing with fun little things.

^How darling is this historic home?

^they’re more like family than anything

^Thanks Car & Ry for such a fun day. I can’t wait to see you guys in just a few weeks!
