900 Second Evening Routine (Third Trimester)

This post is part of a social shopper marketing insight campaign with Pollinate Media Group® and Schick, but all my opinions are my own. #pmedia #pmgschick #7dayshavechallenge #ad http://my-disclosur.es/OBsstV

Last month I shared my 300 second breakdown for getting ready in the morning (or honestly, sometimes the early afternoon these days) but the last few weeks I’ve been upping my game in the personal care department. In part, because pregnancy is taking its toll but also because we’re headed on vacation and I was in need of a little TLC. To go along with the nightly lavender oil baths I’ve been taking, I partnered with Schick to take their 7 day shave challenge so my legs will be ready for shorts + dresses + swim suits on the beach in a week or two.

Here’s a peek at my 900 second evening routine (If I shower its in the morning for just a few minutes while Lincoln plays with blocks on the bathroom floor and I’m down to washing my hair only twice a week, so this is really the ‘me’ time I get in the evenings):

  • 500 second lavender oil bath soak: I love my baths but I can’t handle warm water and hard porcelain tubs very long these days. Sometimes I’ll put on an audiobook and enjoy a slightly cooler bath for a little bit longer but either way, it is a wonderful day to unwind once Lincoln is down for the night. Plus, did you know lavender helps you relax and sleep? I’ve been struggling to fall asleep these days, despite how tired I am, and I think this has been helping.
  • 200 second shave and exfoliate (+ rinse): I’ve been using Schick’s Hydro Silk Razor for a few years now (except when I’m stealing Ben’s) because it is so hydrating and easy to get a close shave with. As part of the 7 Day Shave Challenge I got a set of hanging shower refills which makes it SO much easier to switch out my blade. I never remember I need to until I’m in the shower and then I have such little incentive to get out and find a new razor head. 7 days later my legs aren’t just shaved, but they’re much silkier than they were
  • 200 second deep moisturize: Even though using Skintimate Island Breeze shaving gel makes a big moisturizing difference on it’s own, I follow up with an all over moisturizer (paying particular attention to this growing bump to combat those stretch marks that are due to show up any week now)
The only issue with this routine is that by the end of it I want to do little more than climb into bed (you know that freshly shaved legs + clean sheets combo?), open a bit of tea tree oil (I don’t have a diffuser but ever since hitting the third trimester I’ll take the smell of tea tree oil over just about anything), and snack on pretzel thins (addicted).
P.S. Before I crawl into bed I use a cleansing cloth on my face and brush my teeth so I guess you need to add another 150 seconds on to get my full evening routine 🙂

^see the hanging shower refills? the hydro silk razor comes with a little suction hook and the refills just hang on the hook as well

^the detailing on this bathing suit has me hoping it fits over this bump – if not I’ll be wearing it come July 🙂

What are your favorite ways to unwind at the end of the day? Also, what is your favorite self-tanner? I’m thinking I should have been coupling a bit of sun-free color with the 7 day shave challenge and need recommendations!

If you’re looking for summer-ready legs in just a week, try the Schick 7 Day Shave Challenge (and save yourself the hassle and get the Schick Hydro Silk Shower Hanging Refills). Let me know what differences you notice 🙂

Happy Monday!

  1. love that dress. Target has a maternity line by liz lange and they have similiar dresses like that in different colors and what's nice is they fit perfect for pregnant or non-pregnant ladies. Probably the best maternity dresses I have found.
