7 things making my everyday life happier right now
Did you get through your Monday?
Lincoln is finally better (just a little tired) after being sick for a few days and we just stuck to our usual schedule of gym + grocery shopping on Monday mornings followed by an afternoon staying on campus.
I’ve really loved going through all of the responses to the reader survey I put up two weeks ago (I haven’t actually closed it so you can take it here) and one piece of feedback was that you’d like more product recommendations, especially when they aren’t sponsored.
So, here are things I’ve spent my money on the last few weeks that are making everyday life happier (almost as happy as these two pictures 😉 :
7 THINGS THAT MAKE MY EVERYDAY LIFE HAPPIER
Farrah Skinny Jean: I have a full review of my first full priced designer jean purchase coming (prior to this I’ve just purchased this brand over and over on thredUP) but they are SO good. I’ll probably wear them four times this week, just like last week.
Japanese Camellia Cream from The Body Shop: This is the first time a sample has turned into a full purchase and I loved this one so much I bought it for myself as a stocking stuffer. It’s moisturizing and smells AMAZING (Ben comments on it regularly as well).
Almond & Coconut Kind Bars: Why has it taken me this long to try Kind Bars? It’s delicious and better than a bowl of sugar cereal during nap time.
Pajama Pants: I finally got a second pair of these pajama joggers that double as publicly acceptable clothing. The material is so soft (the same material as my favorite maternity tees – I wore them before I was pregnant for years –Â weird, I know. but SO comfortable ). They’re on sale right now with code FRESHSTYLE
This movement CD: My free apple music trial is up but I haven’t dared cancel my account because I haven’t purchased a few CDs that have become family favorites. One is this album full of great movement songs for kids. Think “If You’re Happy and You Know It” on steroids. We love to put it on for afternoon dance parties and my toddlers love following directions to all of the actions.
The Wayfair Open Box section: It doesn’t count as a physical thing, but have you shopped at Wayfair before? A LOT of our home is Wayfair furniture but it wasn’t ’till we moved to Boston that I discovered their Open Box sale section. Basically if someone returns something, having already opened the box, Wayfair sells the item at a deeper discount. I’ve purchased a few accent chairs for our living room and I’m on the hunt for a love seat or apartment sized sofa so we can have friends over and not have one couple sit on the floor.
Mio Mango Peach Water Drops: I’ve loved Mio drops for a long time but I just discovered the Mango Peach flavor this month and it makes drinking water SO easy. I find myself going through 75 + ounces of water a day just because I want to be drinking that yummy flavor.
