Happy Monday! I’m back with another momiform today (as long as you swap out the small purse for a huge diaper bag 😉 You can see other ideas for getting dressed with babies here, because sometimes we all just need a little inspiration for getting dressed 🙂
At the end of January I got to attend Alt Summit in sunny Palm Springs to lead a round table on the mobile traffic trend and what it means for bloggers. The last time I attended Alt was in 2013, as a community rep for Collectively, a blogger influencer network sponsoring the conference. I’m an extrovert, but by this point I’m no longer surprised by how much more comfortable I am when I feel needed and useful. For me, it is far less nerve wracking to attend an event like Alt as a speaker than as a regular attendee (although round tables are far less pressure than presenting on a panel or a keynote so take that with a grain of salt).
They have a fun practice at Alt of providing hair and makeup for all speakers on the day they present so Thursday morning I rolled out of bed (skipping the yoga I’d planned on) and let the ladies work their magic. I asked for something pretty natural and close to what I usually wear but loved the drama of the false lashes. And when we hit the ten minutes before my round table began mark, we pulled the rest of my uncurled hair into a bun on the top of my head and I rushed out.
I wore almost this exact same look (minus the false lashes and half bun) to a baby shower yesterday and think this velvet top in a light color is the perfect transition piece for spring. This exact top from ASOS is sold out but I found it in black here and I’ve rounded up a few other velvet options for you!
P.S. Lincoln declared this shirt, “soft!” and concluded “that’s good” after stroking me a few times so it’s officially toddler approved.
