For Christmas this year Ben’s parents decided they wanted to give us experiences instead of gifts. So, two days after Christmas, we headed out to the beautiful city of San Francisco for two days of delicious food, beautiful sites, and lots of hills. We stayed at the beautiful Fairmont Hotel (check out awesome pictures here), had sourdough from Boudin’s on the water, dined a top of the Neiman Marcus next to a four story Christmas tree, walked 5000 miles uphill after picking up truffles from Ghirardelli Square, and ended the night indulging in said truffles back in our room. The next day was more wandering, more hills, and lots of shopping. It was so much fun to be back in a big city, but one with a distinct west coast feel. I think I’ll always be a New England girl, but this whole Northern California thing is really growing on me. We love you, San Francisco.
